Default other names for Illuminati

In 1788, after the suppression of Illuminism in Bavaria, Karl Bahrdt and Baron von Knigge attempted to revive it under the name of the German Union, which soon came to control the book selling and publishing business in the German lands; this assured that only those books on religion, philosophy, and politics which were acceptable to the Order would be available and read by the public. However, it was not until 1810 that the Order was revived in what is now Germany, this time under the name of the Tugendbund

Anybody got any info on the Tugendbund society?

also any info on the Insinuating Brethren who's insignia was an all-seeing eye?

Unfortunately conspiracy theorists would rather lift accusations out of texts that support their preconceived notions rather than check source documents.

other names for Illuminati.....

'Barry Of Brunswick' was the original entity which gave birth to the collective term of the Illuminati, dated through various scraps of parchment found in Dale Winton's smoking jacket.

Brunswick, from the Roman for bronze- bruns - and 'wick,' from the established Roman word for a congregation of candle-makers consecrated in a small cave in Castleford, was an isolated part of Norfolk.

Barry ruled in splendid isolation for a number of years, but Brunswick's isolation led to severe logistical problems. Foremost in the problematic logistics, was street lighting.

Barry, a very illuminated person, soon realised keeping the streets of Brunswick adequately lit was a task too far, even for one as illuminated as he.

So Barry recruited, through a rigorous interview process involving Geoff, ruler of neighbouring Sprowston, a team of enlightened ones, or at the very least, ones who could light...... preferably, street lights in Brunswick.

Barry died in a freak yachting accident in 1832.

Lower Saxony (German: Niedersachsen [ˈniːdɐzaksən]) lies in north-western Germany and is second in area and fourth in population among the sixteen states of Germany. In rural areas Northern Low Saxon, a dialect of Low German, is still spoken, but the number of speakers is declining.
