Default I Knew Coca Cola Contain Mercury But Pork?!!

http://www.massmediacell.com/health/...tracts-proven/

Pepsi and Coca Cola Contains PORK (PIG) extracts - PROVEN!! Now there is yet another reason which is more dangerous. The scientific and medical research says that drinking Pepsi & Cola leads to cancer because the key element is taken from Pigs sausage.
The pig is the only animal that eats dirt, dung and urine, which makes lethal and deadly fabric polluted germs and microbes.

According to a report published in Jordanian magazine, the Head of Delhi University Science and Technology , Dr. Mangoshada scientifically proved that the key element in Pepsi and Cola contains extract from the intestines of Pig which causes cancer and other deadly diseases.

The Indian university conducted tests on the impact of drinking Pepsi and Coca Cola which proved that drinking them lead to more rapid heart rate and low pressure.
Also drinking 6 bottles of Pepsi or Cola at a time causes instant death. It also contains chemicals such as carbonic and phosphoric acids, citric acid which harms teeth and causes bone fragility. Bones kept in the Cup of Pepsi melts during the week knowing that the bones of the dead remain in the grave for thirty years.
Research itself confirmed that the calcium dissolved in Pepsi and it weakens the bladder, kidneys, kills the pancreatic, leads to diabetes and infectious diseases.

Pepsi or Coca-Cola lovers, you have nothing to worry as it is not the only drinks available on this earth, as we have other healthy alternatives such as natural fruit juices, canned coconut water, flavoured milks, buttermilk etc., all of them are conveniently available even in the small stores.

Especially at the small stores. The supermarkets tend to stock up more on the popular sellers, obviously.

Coca Cola Contains Mercury

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A test of popular processed foods from some of the biggest names in the industry found trace amounts of mercury, according to the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, a nonprofit group based in Minneapolis.
The amounts of mercury found was far less than that commonly seen in most fish and seafood, but turned up in many foods not previously known to be sources of mercury, including many preferred by children, the group said. It includes Nutri-Grain Strawberry Cereal Bars, Quaker Oatmeal to go bars, Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, Yoplait Strawberry yogurt, Market Pantry Grape Jelly and Coca-Cola, it said.
"This seems like an avoidable source of mercury that we didn't know was out there," said David Wallinga, one of the study's co-authors.
The study concluded that the mercury came from food plants that use caustic soda laced with mercury to produce high fructose corn syrup for major food companies. The researchers cautioned that their study was limited. It tested 55 consumer items, finding mercury in one third of the samples ranging from 30 to 350 parts per trillion. A part per trillion is the rough equivalent of a drop of water in 20 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
Several companies named in the IATP report defended their products Monday, pointing to the very low levels of mercury detected. "You would have to eat more than 100 pounds of ketchup each day to even come close to reaching the EPA's safe exposure level," said ConAgra spokeswoman Stephanie Childs.
A spokesman for General Mills challenged the science behind the report, saying it didn't identify which form of mercury was detected and that parts per trillion of mercury can be found in water, soil and plant and animal tissue. "To suggest a safety concern on the basis of this study is irresponsible," said Tom Forsythe, a spokesman

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but...

I found this...they say the report is a fake:

Delhi University does not have a Dr. Mangoshada
Actually, Delhi University does not even have a Science & Technology center! It has a science dept and a technology dept. I mean, if you're going to pull stuff out of your back side at least make it credible, a quick trip to their website is all you need to pull some good sounding names out of a hat! Some more points:

- Using the phrase "Scientifically proved" without saying how does not scientifically prove anything!

- Of course coke increases heart rate! it contains sugar and caffeine! And perhaps im missing something but high heart rate usually results in HIGH blood pressure, not low!

- Carbonic, phosphoric and citric acid are the things written on the side of the bottle! Do we need an expert to read for us? They are bad for you (although citric acid is often found in that deadly fruit.. the lemon) but then if you actually read labels you would be able to decide what to drink.

- That coke melts bones and teeth is actually a myth, in fact there was an episode of myth busters that delt with this and of course anyone can try this at home - go find some bones and see what you get.

- Im not saying coke is good for you, in fact cocaine would probably give you a better effect at far less risk, but the point is, half the stuff said in this article is total rubbish that people will believe absolutely without even thinking about it, as usual people will believe anything.

Probably removed after they realised it was bollocks
The BBC links I like, but they're merely about pesticides and quite some time ago with no followup. As manxfaerie says, the rest is easily explained away.

Default Didn't take too long to work this one out.

BEIJING: Beijing police is investigating the mercury poisoning of a 13-year-old student allegedly caused by a can of Sprite, municipal authorities said Tuesday.

Parents of the boy came to the police claiming their child was poisoned by the deadly chemical substance after drinking an aluminum can of Sprite on January 17, a police officer said on condition of anonymity.

The drink was bought from a supermarket in Tongzhou district, where the remaining Sprite cans have been sealed off by the police, the officer said.

The boy is now discharged from hospital but may have some sequela, including possible infertility, doctors said. The police found a broken thermal meter at the boy's home and is testing it together with the Sprite can, he added.

However, no evidence showed that the thermal meter was directly related to the poisoning by now, he said.

The police had launched a comprehensive investigation on the production, transportation, sales and consumption of the Sprite. It may take some time before the police can reach a conclusion, the officer said.

The police will inform the public of the result once investigation is completed, he added.

This was Beijing's second case of mercury poisoning related to Sprite in less than three months. In November 2009, a man surnamed Zhang vomited beads of liquid mercury right after drinking a can of Sprite in a restaurant. The case remains unsolved.

Officials with Beijing's food safety authorities and industrial and commercial bureau said they were deeply concerned with the case and were waiting for investigation results before taking further actions.

Coca Cola, producer of Sprite, said in a statement Tuesday the company has a stringent quality management system, and its products are safe and in line with China's food and drink safety standards.

Coca Cola inspected all manufacturing equipments and procedures and tested Sprite samples after hearing about the case. No abnormality or disqualification was found, according to the statement.

"Now, we are cooperating with the police in the investigation and cannot give any more comments," the statement said.
Now seems to me, my theory, is that the man had an axe to grind with the restaurant and swallowed some mercury to claim against the owners and the owners stating that it must be the Sprite; the boy, having been found with a broken thermometer at his home, was clearly a copy-cat incident.

Magnum PI, move over and give me your car keys.

Wow debunked quickly.

Anyways, I quit drinking soda when my ex-stepmom who is an RN said that they use flat Coca Cola to clean up the hospital floors. I guess it eats up those blood stains on the floor
