The Kimberley Process entered its half-year meeting in Namibia with a cloud of doubt hanging over its standing. Some of the concerns include, as the NGO’s listed, human rights abuses in Zimbabwe’s diamond areas, suggestions of an imbalance of import and export data out of Lebanon and Guinea, and non-compliance issues in Venezuela, which has suspended itself from the KP but where mining, and subsequent smuggling, is still said to be going on. The test this week would have been whether the KP can still effectively address such pertinent issues. Just had a look at MJ Billy Jean video and noticed the connection with the name of the hospital he died in. At the end of the video Mj climbes into a double bed and then disappears. The scene then moves to the corner of a street with the shop name being shown as Ronalds at around 4 mins 30 seconds.
