Elle could be returning
to Aussie shores

IT'S been more than two decades since
Elle Macpherson called Australia home,
but The Body is reportedly bound for the
Aussie beach after putting her plush
London property in Notting Hill
on the market last week.

Following her Sydney summer love-in
with her sons Flynn, 9, and Aurelius Cy, 4,
the self-labelled "earth mother" is understood to
be preparing to quit Britain
in order to pursue a simple coastal life
in her home city.

Elle's Aussie rep wasn't available for comment yesterday
but British newspaper The Mail on Sunday has made the claim.

Elle has lived in London for 10 years,
and has been in her London pad
in Notting Hill since her split with partner
Arpad "Arki" Busson in 2006.

The property is a
luxury seven-storey estate
estimated to be worth $16 million.
It contains an office,
where she runs her lingerie business.

COLLECTORS are scrambling to buy
a limited edition original
Heath Ledger "Joker"
which toy maker Mattel has dumped
because it's too scary for children.

Collider.com's Ryan Brookhart reports today
that Mattel won't release the original version
of The Joker figurine, based on Heath Ledger's
incarnation for
Batman: Dark Knight
because it is too scary for children.

Instead Mattel have
"hastily thrown together"
a "friendlier" version
they can sell to children.

What Mattel will sell is a
"strange hybrid animated style Joker
roughly an inch smaller and
in standard blister-style packaging
alongside the movie actuate
Batman figure," Mr Brookhart says.

China's Sichuan province alone
after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake
hit the region,
Xinhua news agency said,
citing the local government.


As many as 10,000
in Sichuan's Beichuan county
were feared injured, the report said.

Builldings at five more schools in the southwestern province
have collapsed in the earthquake, burying unknown numbers
of elementary and middle school children.

The official Xinhua news agency had said earlier that
about 900 middle school students were feared buried
when their school building in Sichuan's Dujiangyan district
collapsed.

Thought I'd share this bit of a pm I sent in a reply to tintin;

Yes, we certainly are in "DIFFICULT TIMES, HARD TO BEAR"...
as God warned, and 'They" KNOW...it's what gets me with folk
