Watanabe (渡辺 "cross border") is the 5th most common Japanese surname.

A presumably deranged arsonist has placed in the basilica Sagrada Familia in Barcelona a fire. The damage to the world-famous church building is considerable. About 500 church-goers, many of them foreign holidaymakers, escaped with a fright.

The flames destroyed the vestry. Furniture and garments were priests, according to the fire completely charred. The damage by the fire smoke blackened the walls of the crypt where you will find the grave of the architect Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926).
