Police arrested the wrong person in Buffalo, NY shootings case outside City Grill restaurant
August 15th 2010  Latest update: In a bizarre twist, police released Keith Johnson, 25, of Buffalo, NY, who was previously accused and charged with 4 counts of murders. Keith Johnson, a parolee, who was recently released from prison just two and a half weeks ago was arrested on Saturday in connection with multiple murders. However, before the end of the day, law enforcement officials, Chief of Police and District Attorney Frank A. Sedita acknowledged, that they got the wrong person. Frank Sedita is scheduled to file paperwork to dismiss charges against Keith Johnson. 3 people died outside the restaurant, City Grill, while the 4th person was pronounced dead at a local emergency hospital. One of the victims was a man from Texas visiting New York with his wife to celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary. Multiple law enforcement agencies are cooperating with local authorities to track down other leads they have for suspects. The decision to release Keith Johnson and drop all the charges against him came after reviewing video and photos from the scene. Eye witnesses and one of the victims also acknowledge that Keith Johnson was not the gunman. James Robbs, one of the victims, confirmed that there was only one gunman responsible for this massacre. Shaneesha White, sister of Shawn-Tia McNeil, who died during the gunfire also confirmed that Keith was not the gunman. Frank Sedita released a statement saying "What basically has happened is in the last eight hours… we got additional video evidence. Investigators called me and said, Frank, you better come down here. We're having serious second thoughts." At this time no other arrests have been made. At least eight people have been killed after a 4x4 vehicle careered into a crowd watching an off-road motor race in California.
  Bystanders rush to help a victim pinned under the truck Saturday, moments after it plowed into a crowd after sailing off a jump. first report: Eyewitnesses described people "flying in all directions" Twelve other people were injured in the crash, at the California 200 desert night race near Lucerne Valley, 100 miles (160km) from Los Angeles. The driver, named as 28-year-old Brett Sloppy, was unhurt and reportedly fled the scene to avoid an angry crowd. Police said Mr Sloppy, from the San Diego area, would not be charged. Joaquin Zubieta, of the California Highway Patrol, said state vehicle laws did not apply because it was a sanctioned racing event held with the approval of the federal Bureau of Land Management. Tens of thousands of spectators attend the annual race, which takes place on a 50-mile off-road track. They stand close to the path of the off-road vehicles, sometimes with little or no protection. Crushed A witness said the crash happened moments after the start of the race. "When [the vehicle] came up, it like caught air and flew sideways, and I just saw people started scrambling at that point," the unnamed witness told local media. "As soon as it hit, it rolled right on top and it just hit people and people flew, went in all kinds of directions. People were scattering, people were running and trying to help people." Photographer David Conklin said the car sped over a jump known on the course as "the rockpile" and went out of sight. "I saw one woman with a major head wound lying in a pool of blood. It was just brutal,'' Musgrave, 43, told The Times. "The problem is the crowd was just too close. I don't think the [racer] did anything stupid. He just hit it way too hard." Sloppy had to be escorted away from the area after the crowd "started to get rowdy," Zubieta said. "People were upset." The 200-mile race, held on desolate Soggy Dry Lake on federal desert land just east of the San Bernardino Mountains, was sanctioned by Mojave Desert Racing and was part of a seven-race circuit. Off-roaders race around the 50-mile-long loop four times, reaching speeds upward of 60 mph. A photographer at the race described a scene of devastation. "There was dust everywhere, people screaming, people running," David Conklin told the Associated Press. "When I got up to the vehicle, I could tell that several people were trapped. The flag shown above is Not described in Title 4 of USC and therefore is illegal on land except for maybe (1) the President since he is in charge of Naval Forces on high seas, and (2) naval offices and yards. President Eisenhower settled the debate on the width of the fringe. The so-called justification for a Naval/Maritime flag to be on land is that all land was under the high water mark at one time even if it was eons ago. Flags on poles flying at the same height as other flags have equal status. A flag flying higher than the flag below indicates superiority over the flag below. Note that corporate state flags fly below the US flag. Keep in mind that the states were originally Sovereign over the central government and only the state flags were flown except in the District of Columbia not exceeding 10 miles square, its territories, forts, dockyards, arsenals, and other needful buildings, such as Post Offices, purchased with the consent of the legislature of the affected state. Roman/American National citizens no longer have the power to nullify a wicked law when serving as jurors for there is no longer any substantive American Common Law. A jury is merely to enforce all codified laws, federal or state.
