Only a year ago he made a program on TV about the unfairness of the British class system. Another example of that when people become an MP, they inevitably become sucked into the singular centrally controlled power structure, lose all their principles, and become a slave to their own ego's and greed. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...n-honours.html Last edited by steppewar; 29-05-2010 at 06:10 AM. |

All aboard the gravy train MK2.
It would be nice if someone interviewed him asked why he is joining the house of lords if he is so against it? It just goes to show that they are all on the same side with the same agenda. |

They all have their noses firmly in the trough
![]() Whilst MP's continue to rack in their ill gotten gains, if this had happened to some poor sod on a council estate they would be in prison, but an MP just has to say sorry ![]() http://uk.news.yahoo.com/4/20100528/...s-dba1618.html Laws promises to pay back thousands from expenses Chief Treasury Secretary David Laws has apologised after it emerged that he had channelled more than £40,000 of taxpayers' money to his long-term partner The Liberal Democrat Cabinet minister - who this week promised public spending curbs which would send "shockwaves" through Whitehall - claimed up to £950 a month for five years to rent a room in two properties owned by his partner, according to the Daily Telegraph. Mr Laws issued an apology on Friday night and announced that he would "immediately" pay back tens of thousands of pounds claimed for rent and other housing costs between 2006 and 2009. He has referred himself to Parliamentary Standards Commissioner John Lyon. The Yeovil MP's partner is James Lundie, who works for a lobbying firm. The Telegraph has stressed that it was not intending to disclose that Mr Laws was homosexual, but he has chosen to do so. Mr Laws issued a statement: "James and I are intensely private people. We made the decision to keep our relationship private and believed that was our right. Clearly that cannot now remain the case. "My motivation throughout has not been to maximise profit but to simply protect our privacy and my wish not to reveal my sexuality." According to the newspaper, between 2004 and 2007, Mr Laws claimed between £700 and £950 a month to sub-let a room in a flat in Kennington, south London. This flat was owned by the MP's partner who was also registered as living at the property. The partner sold the flat for a profit of £193,000 in 2007.

Just goes to show that which ever social class system you come from, you can be bought, and the buyers can always afford the asking price.

Yup when it comes to hypocrisy, there probably is no greater master of this art than Lord Two Jags.
Prescott's department was the one that funded Common Purpose and helped make them the evil and corrupt powerful secret organisation they are today. I'm not convinced Lord Two Jags personally masterminded this, I believe he is too stupid to have done this. He did however cost the tax payer billions of pounds from his incompetence. In the real world, you wouldn't give this guy a job managing a corner shop, yet he was in charge of a huge government department. How I laughed when that story came to light about him shagging his secretary. I've heard that power makes you attractive to women, but the idea anyone could find John Prescott in any way attractive? Prescott admits affair with aide. |

Any labour MP that accepts a peerage is a hypocrite. However, Prescott earned the hypocrite title long before now.
Funny how Michael Foot is remembered with such disdain but he turned his back on his offer of a peerage. I totally disagreed with his policies but respected his integrity. Couldn't say the same for that egg magnet. Last edited by skaff; 29-05-2010 at 06:30 PM. |
