Default Conservatives call for 'in your face policing'

Telegraph.

Quote:
David Cameron believes Labour’s record on crime and anti-social behaviour will feature heavily in the general election campaign which is likely to be triggered by Gordon Brown on Tuesday.

The Tory leader will demand that police “harass” troublemakers, as he distances himself from the party’s recent “hug-a-hoodie” reputation.
Troublemakers? Like people wanting democracy and free speech more like.

You can bet it's not going to be to the benefit for the public like it was twenty - thirty years ago.
The coppers of this day and age are a far cry from the Dixon of Dock Green.

I see the coppers now in a totally different light to what they were back before liebor got in.
The tory's will continue Labours 'work' towards big brother britain...

Was Dixon of Dock Green ever like real coppers? I'm nearly 50 and grew up on a council estate - coppers have always been total c***ts.

They used to be bent c***ts.

Now they are just useless c***ts.

I hear you on that but what I mean is the coppers back then had a spine and as kids you knew not to cross the line or you got an ear-bending from a cop.
Now they aren't allowed to bollock you at all...

Their priorities have gone completely wrong. Once it was about protecting the public and keeping the peace. Now it's about controlling the public, keeping the peace at the expense of the public. The police authorities seem to treat the public as people who they would rather not have to deal with when fulfilling their duties from their political masters. They are now mostly answerable to political parties and groups such as Common Purpose.

me and my partner spoke to cleveland police on thursday after my partner was pulled over my a foreighn speaking women in an unmarked car with no ID, who said she was part of traffic police even though the women couldn't speak english.

here's the best part she didnt even flag my GF over, the alleged police officer was infront of her and slammed her brakes on and jumped out of the vehicle on a main road

when we phoned the police to ask them if they are in the habit of employing police officers from other member states who cant speak english, i was immediatly treat like a racist stroke terrorist...

i can't believe hoe defensive and adversarial the man on the end of the phone was...

he basically said that if people from other member states apply to be police officers then there is nothing we can do...

i thought yea, bollocks, you obviously arn't aware of the internal incentives offered to police officers from other member states, in terms of migration then are you.

i have no evidence of this but you can be damn sure that police officers from other member states are getting promised everything but the bloody red rose to move and police in another member state.

I'm so excited about this General Election! Anyone else feel the same? Talk about having your cake and eat it ? I just wish everyone who doesn't vote got out and voted UKIP!

under labour police work has turned like social work, and more about tax revenue than law enforcement, ask any 20 year plus veteran in the force.
They generally started to recruit middle class kids who have left uni and those who are "diverse" so its all about image in the long run. Not failing to mention they like ex squaddies like they always have done.
