Hey, i heard rumours that NASA has sealed 3 astronauts away for 18months to simulate a trip to mars. I was wondering if anyone else has heard anything. I cannot seem to find anything on the net about it.

Didn't find anything about NASA doing this Mars trip preparation work, but I found this article about something similar going on in Russia

Well three UK papers but that's it. Read them whilst waiting for chinese last night, i saw on one website Spacennew.org i think about it but when i clicked on the site i couldn't go though the past stories.
