Default "V" TV series

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but does anyone remember the 80s TV show V? Not the shitty remake, but the original show. It was about a race of reptilians who come to earth from another planet disguised as humans to enslave us...with the help of traitors who are taught to keep an eye on their neighbor.

It was full of futuristic weapons like lasers and body/mind scanners/torture devices.

I loved the show as a kid, but with my recent awakening to what's really going on, I can't help but think the creator of this show knew something.

Or could be a big coincidence?

I have it (the original) on DVD, and happen to think the "shitty remake" that came out last fall and continues soon is pretty damned good (so far).

You should check out "They Live" as well.

The original V series was brilliant, it was massive over here in 1984, I think it was shown just before the Olympics.

It was repeated on Channel 5 (a new channel here) in 1997.

I've not seen the remade series yet, don't know when it is going to be shown over here!

Default re V the original

yeah was a big fan of the original prog in the 80s and do actually like the new series but this has very little to do with keneth johnson the dude who wrote the original screen play , i listened to a interview i unearthed on tinterweb
and he says that the story was originally about a facist invading race , and the alien side of the story was a ammendment and then become the overarching theme to the story ,

i hadnt really given when this was aired a thoughtl but 1984 to coincide with the olympics of 1984 it all figures
and makes ya think why this series has been brought back to the screen
with the olympics only a few years away

ala the work of Rik clay - check if your unaware of this guys research RIP

^^^^^^
The olympics is always only a few years away. V was excellent show, They Live not so great a film. My opinion of course. I think that's where Icke got his idea rather than the other way around.

V the series (original one) was a masterpiece! Not the finest acting but definitely art imitating reality. imo, the screenwriters definitely knew the score. They Live is also very thought provoking, my favourite line from the film is when the blond haired guy confronts some of the aliens after putting the sunglasses on and says: "I am an American. I chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all outta gum" Absolute classic

Its worth mentioning that the Sci-fi channel just recently showed a bunch of the old 'V' shows a few weeks ago...I forgot I tivo'd the entire original series (from the 80's). They might be showing again, I'll have to check the scheduling.

I think it should be law to say that at every given opportunity!

Default "V" The TV series

What a brilliant TV series V was, not forgetting the Final Battle continuation of the story. Contained so many themes with which can be reflected upon in todays NWO society. Whether the creators of the programme had knowledge or where simply being creative is undecided.

So many hidden or symbolic messages were shown underneath a highly entertaining, action-packed drama; these include the alien visitors proclaiming to be in peace yet are really reptilians who want to suck humanity dry. Other themes include the targeting and hatred of jewish scientist families, fascism, police state, vaccines, mind control, censorship of TV broadcasting (the cutting off of Donavan's tape from the TV networks),and so on.

Whenever David Icke and reptilians are mentioned, people often bring up the V series and accuse him of basing his thoughts entirely off of it, yet maybe it is life imitating art or vise versa through conscieceness. I wonder what David's thoughts are on this matter. Whe're never likely to get answers from Kenneth Johnson the shows creator.

The original V is brilliant, the remake is absolute garbage.
The original V had reptilians in "costume form" and not shitty CGI creations.
The original V is probably the truest reflection of reality, apart from They Live.
