Usually if you do a vfx job, you film it on a good camera, and at least you would render it out with good quality, so it wouldnt be all pixalted unless done on purpose.

The 3 objects look like birds to me you can see like a flight motion of them, to me it looks like it takes the birds inside and then sucks them up with it.

The animation is really well done also for the little objects and the main object, why would you go to all the type filming, matching the camera modelling animating texturing and fixing the lighting to have shit quality end result?

Finally, the motion blur at the end look really well done,

IT COULD be done in visual effects, we have the likes of avatar for example, but to me, being a student in this kinda field it looks really convincing indeed.

If you put it on 2:36 and watch the upper left, you can see the flapping motion of the wings of the bird. thats if they are birds but they are a fyling creature.

which leads me to a final conclusion, if they are birds which to me look as near as just a sphere or spacecraft, how could you make 3 birds, fly to teh object that wouldnt be there because modelling is done post film?

the birds are also cgi? or

it's a real ufo whatever with a fuckin tractor beam or tasty bread crumbs

Eh? How should it seem right though? After all if it is a UFO it is perfectly understandable to feel uneasy about what you are viewing, it is not an easy thing to accept.
