The direct result of the Dunblane massacre was the removal of handguns from ordinary law abiding citizens. All parties in parliament tried to out do each other in demonizing an inanimate object, the handgun, until in 1997 handguns were banned. To this day the Dunblane families are chasing innocent gun owners and the firearms industry who had nothing to do with Dublane. Ten years on, crime involving supposedly banned handguns has quadrupled, yet the decent and law abiding are denied them.

The Dunblane case mirrors that of the Oklahoma City Bombing, a perceived 'inside job' by the CIA, in two respects. Suspicion of government complicity and it's use as justification for subsequent totalitarian legislation.

The Oklahoma City bombing did what the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993 didn't quite achieve, it allowed the rushing through of "The Omnibus Counterterrorism Act of 1995", which eviscerated the American Constitution and the Bill of Rights to an extraordinary extent. This legislation, rushed through Congress after the Oklahoma City bombing, grants the president arbitrary power to declare individuals 'terrorists,' authorizes the use of secret evidence, and reverses the presumption of innocence for suspects. The ADL backed the Omnibus Counterterrorism Act .

That' one hell of brutal thing to do to get some gun control in a country that has plenty of control to start with.

The guns circulating now in Britain are in the hands of crooks, pure black market. They can get the guns no matter how much legislation is put in place.

Dunblane was carried out by a lone lunatic who went on to shoot himself.

Let's assume the theory you present is true, I wonder what Thomas Hamilton would have said if some secret government official had said in a meeting with him:

"we want you to go into the school, shoot as many children as possible and teachers too. Oh and by the way, you have to shoot yourself too."

It was a lone nut job with a gun. Conspiracies can be found anywhere and everywhere.

That is something I am finding on this forum. Any theory goes, however wild, however odd, however insane.

There are people here who would believe the following: John Lennon was a Grey alien from Reticular. He collaborated with Paul McCartney (who had a lookalike replace him in 1967) to bring about communism in the western world. Ringo was actually employed by Richard Nixon who wanted Ringo on side. George Harrison worked for the Reptilian aliens as a go-between.

Let me say without fear of doubt that if I posted any of these theories here - most would say "yeah man - that's true"

I know it seems unbelievable but it's the truth. It was to get military style weapons out of the public arena. Yes crooks can still get hold of guns but the aim was to get them out of the public arena.
