Arabs didn't conquer Syria till the 6th century AD. It is the Arabs who defiled the women of the Levant over the past 1400 years, even though there are still quite a lot of the native inhabitants left.

Not much like Jesus is it.

Though admiteddly they DID both have sisters....... I suppose that's enough for some New-Age scammer to spin a good yarn.

Well, as far as I know, it's one story of him. Others tell different.
Can't remember where I read it: Quetzalcoatl was also represented as white skinned, long-haired, blue-eyed man with beard.
Sounds kinda weird in that part of the world.

The book's author, Kersey Graves, lived 1813 - 1883. Don't think that's called 'New Age'.

Doesn't matter. Interesting book though. Shows many parallels between the 'sons of god'. Of course only the TRUE one! Every one of them...

Same epoch as Blavatsky so called 'mother of the new-age', hence New Age.

Most of this stuff we're looking at now has been around hundreds of years.

Sadly such things happen again and again. Just because someone was claiming he'd have the only truth / only true religion.

NA or not NA... I think the book is quite interesting and shows some parallels to David Icke's writings on the 'savior gods'. (See quote above.) It triggers some thinking - hopefully. That's important.

The image we've come to know as Christ is actually a depiction of Cesare Borgia, the son of Pope Alexander VI. Remember it was over 1,000 years after his death that people really began to create life like images. After he was painted as Christ it kind of snowballed from there and became widely accepted as the image of Christ.

That said, it's not unknown to find blonde haired, blue eyed people in the middle east at all. But the idea any of could ever know what Jesus himself looked like is absurd. The only description I'm aware of is that he was described as 'homely'
