MY news item was musicians who performed at the olympics sold their soul to satan. I will leave here soon because I always get someone who either never says anything or says nasty things. I asked fruitgum the opinion of this because I know a lot of research has gone into this and within 10 minutes someone has to attack me.

Without trying to sound unsympathetic my advice is grow a thicker skin, this thing happens all the time and is the inherent nature of chat forums, especially given the topic in question. Rule no 1, Don't take offence to somebody else's different point of view or rants. It's all in the game my freind.

Fruitgum is inactive, and as much as I agree the closing ceremony was a ritualistic corporate circle jerk I don't think anybody deserves to "burn in hell" for participating in it.

Because if you are going to propose such things then it has to stand up to scrutiny and people aren't going to just accept it because you say it. Some times we have accept that that scrutiny is going to biting if the idea being proposed is a little on the wonky side.

My point was I had trust in musicians such as beatles, muse or etc etc. I will have to delete a lot of music from my ipod because, in my opinion ANYONE who took part in the evil games have sold their soul.

At least Red hot chilli peppers said basically fuck you - we are not performing!

Nothing wrong with being a Christian. They are satanic forces in this world and at least Jesus brought light into the Pharasees who WANT this world to be evil.

The closing ceremony was disgusting - the colours, so called musicians and the idiots who either knew about all this or clapped out of ignorance.

Even blur is off my list. I liked them in the 1990s but its disgusting seeing the whole spectacle basically.

Changing the topic - I really appreciate the vast amount of truth from this forum. Ok I can seem to be an idiot sometimes but my future is finished where I was born because I can;t cope with the fast pace of life.

Ummm wasn't it about celebrating BRITISH music. Not sure where the chili's would fit in, you know, with them being like NOT BRITISH.

It is not easy to discuss a subject without sounding like you are dis-agreeing, because that's what people do - i.e. have differing opinions. Would you want people to just go "yes you are right" one after the other? A bit boring if it was like that. I know it is annoying when people can't entertain an idea without getting into I'm right your wrong repeat endlessly, but that's the same everywhere. Why would an internet forum be any different?
