There has been a whole string of examples about

1) CIA trading in guns, drugs and child prostitution - documented evidence.
2) USA government threatening France for resisting the importatio of Monsanto GM crops.
3) 15, 000 extra unreported civilian Iraqi deaths
4) murder of reporters by troops and the subsequent murder of those who tried to assist them when they were lying bleeding to death (on film)
5) Trapwire using face recognition to spy on civilians in the UK and US 24/7 and "predict" crimes/suspects before they happen
6) The Climategate emails
7) Bilderberg Group meeting reports
8) The Israeli secret attack on Iran
9) The spying ordered by Hilary Clinton on UN leaders from other countries

Although that would be very cool, the US, IMHO, would perceive that as a "threat" and make "unilateral action in order to bring about regime change".

The detractors and accusers don't stick around long enough to answer any rebuttals and counter-claims

Nor do they address any of the previous evidence and logical arguments made previously on this thread against such a claim.

All they do is turn up five minutes after the latest update with the same accusation in the same minimal size posts (minimizing their effort).

But anyway, in the meantime here is another recent example of BBC extreme bias against wikileaks, Assange and now Ecuador.

Ecuador has garnered support for its right to offer asylum to Julian Assange. But the victory for both Mr Assange and his host nation could be bittersweet.
Ecuador partied at the Organisation of American States (OAS) on Friday at the expense of Britain and the United States.

So having a summit is now a party at UK/US expense?

London and Washington may be content to let the unlikely pair suffer in the small bed they have made or, more accurately, inflated.

While it is true that the US Department of Justice continues an investigation that presumably includes Mr Assange, it likely will not indict him for the 2010 compromise of classified US documents.

So they ARE planning to indict.

Give Mr Assange credit. He is a one hit wonder, but has milked it for all it's worth. He has achieved his 15 minutes of fame - and then some.
Information yearning to be free, not to mention informers yearning to remain anonymous, are increasingly likely to be spooked by all the attention on Mr Assange.

Ridicule and threats to people thinking of doing something similar

His is not an embrace of Mr Assange, according to Haverford College professor Anita Isaacs, so much as an opportunity to "settle old scores with the United States".

Oh the "they hate America" cry

Inevitably, Ecuador will seek to resolve the Assange matter. He will certainly wear out his welcome in Knightsbridge. But the country's public grandstanding will make a quick resolution very difficult.
