make of that what you will

and no, it wasn't the drains playing up ...
Wow! That sounds crazy. I thought once I heard breathing at night in my room, but I don't know.

I don't know. There is a lot of stuff out there. I've heard that it's not what you see or hear, but how you feel when you experience this stuff.

For me, I wasn't scared. Meaning, I didn't feel an evil or negative presence. All I know was it was weird.

Could of been an animal making the sound, may be an injured bird/ bat like has been suggested. Could of been an animal that was acting out of character if injured or ill, and was out at the wrong time of day that normal. I would do some more studies by staying out in the same place at the same time and write down what noises you are hearing over a couple of nights, see if you hear something similar. But yeah got to try and rule every ration explanation first if you can

I think you have to experience something paranormal to really understand, and believe me i was a hardline skeptic, until i had my own experiences....my own proof positive.

give the guy a break. I believe his story. could have been an alien ; or a jinn; could have been something weird.

why assume someone is a liar when you don't even know them?

weird.
Oh I beleive he heard something. I just dont think it was paranormal at this time.

I asked the OP for some more info because I was struggling trying to picture the location from his original description and he came back at me with attitude. I merely retaliated.

Why oh why do people assume because they cannot explain something it becomes paranormal?

Yes drainage can make some very weird sounds, sounds seem clearer at night, mainly, as explained back ground noise is lower.
To understand the possible originations of this sound requires a knowledge of how sound works, it may have been further away than the OP thought. But that was totally dismissed by the OP when asked.

If they didn't want someone to chat with them about the experience what the hell was the point in posting it in the first place?

As an investigator I have moral duty not to start tellign people that things may be worse than they thought, I am never going to tell someone their house is haunted, even if I have evidence to prove it. Same as I would never tell someone they have D'jinn as I simply consider them a figment of fantasy.

In over 10 years, investigating Ancietn buildings and castle in the UK. I have NEVER seen a ghost or witnessed anything paranormal. Yes I've been spooked, I've felt fear, I've heard weird ungodly noises and found rational explanations and debunked just about everything.

I keep investigating becaue the team I am with regularly gets calls from people who thik they have ghosts in their house. I have yet to come across a single entity and when I and the team have met with the people, explained some of the "symptoms" they report no more paranormal activity.

Funny that eh?

I have a friend who never believed in ghosts. That is unit he experienced stuff (seeing them and feeling their presence).

He mentioned he wanted to go into paranormal investigation because he knows they exist.

I beleive in the paranormal yes.
I have seen no evidence of ghosts though, no proof, just anecdotes.
I havent seen a ghost or knowingly heard one.

Show me a caveman ghost and maybe I'll start believing. Notice how most ghosts seem to come from medievel through to modernish times?

He wouldnt be much of an investigator if he was simply trying to prove something exists because he knows it does. You have to try and be unbiased.

I used to sit on the fence, but after numerous investigations I am becoming a none believer.
because I am now doubting the existence of ghosts, my paranormal investigations become very boring......simply because nothing happens.

People say to me, unless you beleive you wont experience anything......thats just too convenient an argument for me. Thats like saying if you dont beleive in gravity you will float off into space.

Fast forward to 37:19

Although, you didn't hear the sound in your head.. So it might not be this. But anyway.
Good to see someone in the government actually admit to certain things.
