A 'moral decline' inevitably rests on your own moral standards, so it's not a given.

I'd say myself that some things might have declined morally, others got better. For example, in my lifetime gay people have become less likely to get their heads kicked in for expressing affection in public, are much better represented in the media without just being John Inman and have far greater social recognition generally. Given I think suppressing homosexuality is an immoral imposition on gay people's human rights, I'd say that's a moral improvement. Hopefully we'll reach a stage where no-one gives a shit about whethre people are gay or not.

Other areas I might see more neutrally. So I don't think porn is a "good" thing or a "bad" thing - it can be destructive or it can give people great pleasure and even enhance their sex lives. It's like drugs - it depends on user, set and setting. Porn becoming more accessible - primarily due to the internet - can cause problems, but I also think it's dumb and unwarranted to try to suppress porn. It used to be largely a seedy underworld, now it's a massive industry - there are pros and cons on either side.
I don't have a problem with porn as it's...just porn and I wanked off over enough of it in my teens. In fact I'm thankful to porn for being a valuable friend during the heady days of puberty. If people like porn, then I say you go watch your porn and enjoy it. But I wouldn't go round shouting Porn for everyone! Watch some porn, it's awesome!

For myself, I percieve moral decline as far more pertinent in the commodificatiion of everything. I see far more to get morally outraged about in, say, destroying the habitat of wildlife for money or attacking the poor at the same time jobs are being stripped away then getting all wound up about people's sex lives.

And I still don't know exactly what the point of this thread is supposed to be - appparently it's about 'sexual deviance', but apart from obvious things like pedos who nobody likes, I'm not sure what 'sexual deviance' or 'moral decline' I'm supposed to be concerned about anyway. The article in the OP was a bunch of deranged drivel, so that's not really any help either.

My post wasn't just about global warming which I'll remind you again you brought up in the first place. You've started getting very evasive about stuff you started talking about. You really don't like having to put meat on the bones of youir endless rhetoric do you?

I've been kind of enjoying the spontaneous nature of this thread, the way it's gone off at tangents. It's felt kind of free and alive. It's shame you want to bring it back into rigid linearity. Though it's probably a fitting metaphor for your attitude to sex.

It's not the 'climate sceptics' that have anything to fear on the debate anyway is it, because it's not them who have fudged figures and gone on a relentless media campaign to promote this rubbish of 'global warming is it! I already said I would be glad to talk about it or try to answer some of the relevent questions on another thread. This one has swayed off topic now for quite long enough. So why not just start your own thread on the topic? I don't see a problem with that myself, and that's not being evasive in anyway whatsoever.

Well you seem to have spent basically the entire thread ignoring direct questions.

Why would I want to start a thread on global warming? I already said it's not a subject I'm into. I just asked you something. If you can't answer it I'm not arsed.
