Jimmie Vaughn,older brother of Stevie Ray Vaughn, replaced Robert Patton on lead guitar,after Patton drowned in White Rock Lake in East Dallas in April.1966....

The Chessmen opened for Jimmie Hendrix in Dallas in 1968...Hendrix's first Dallas appearence.

A lot of these bands started in high school after The Beatles played the Ed Sullivan Show in February of 1964......
and broke up after the members turned 18 & were drafted into the army & sent to Viet Nam to be sacrificed on the alter of the Military Industrial Complex........
