Default The 'Real Deal' Or Another Y2K?

For decades, people have been declaring a certain year or day as the 'end of the world', yet every time it proves not to be. As mentioned in the title, Y2K was a proclaimed 'end of the world' scenario, argualbly the most (in)famous of all 'end of the world' scenarios. On January 1st, 2000 we were here to live another day and it was quickly forgotten in terms of public conciousness. Last year another 'end of days' scenario was brought up by Harold Camping and was proclaimed to be the 'second coming of Jesus Christ', and yet here we are a year later unscathed. The year 2012 and the infamous December 21 date will surely bring upon either scepticism or fear in a person depending on who you are speaking to. 2012 is the new Y2K and yet, I feel this could finally be the one. I may sound foolish, but there is just something about all of this that makes me belive even a little. I can't put my finger on it, but something just doesn't feel right about this year. At all. It could turn out to be another misguided claim, or the actual end of days and for some reason I'm leaning towards the latter. What do you all think about this? Thanks for reading.
