Default Huge fireball/meteor increase (latest kills 2)

The number of reported fireballs over the US this year has already equalled the total number for the whole of 2012, and we've not even finished the year yet. Not only that, but September 2013 has, according to the AMS (American meteor society), been the most active month since tracking began in 2005. The past 7 days alone have witnessed a huge uptick in reports. Last night, it was reported that one hit near a house in Ohio, indirectly (from smoke inhalation) killing two people.

Quote:
Ohioans were dazzled by a bright flash of blue light in the night sky on September 27, 2013, in southern Ohio around 11:30 p.m., eastern standard time. Could it have been a meteorite or a satellite predicted to crash to earth on Friday?

As of the morning of September 28, 2013, a home outside of Peebles, Ohio, in the Locust Grove area of Adams County burned to the ground last night, the two residents of the home, an elderly couple, Jane and Lyle Lambert, died as a result of smoke inhalation. The fire is believed to be caused from the meteor or pieces of the heated meteor that hit the home. The state fire marshal is investigating the fire.

Quote:
The American Meteor Society (AMS) has reported at least 373 reports of another bright fireball – a very bright meteor, likely a small chunk of natural incoming space debris – over the U.S. last night (September 27, 2013). These reports followed a similar event over approximately the same area the day before (September 26). The AMS called the coincidence of two bright fireballs, or bright meteors, spotted over approximately the same region on consecutive days “surprising.” Witnesses from Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia reported a bright light moving across the night sky on September 27 at around 11:33 p.m. local time, according to the AMS.

Fireball might sound ominous, but it is just the word astronomers use to mean bright meteor. As seen from a whole-Earth perspective, fireballs are seen often. It’s unusual to have two appear on consecutive nights over the same region, however.

Check the AMS report page for September 2013 (there is a seach box on the left where you can compare 2013 with any other year since they started). Search any news site for 'fireballs'.

Remember though, the AMS has 'reported sightings', and some of this increase could be explained by an increase in awareness of the website, and even by idiots reporting fireworks.

Is this what FEMA are up to? A giant fake holographic 'meteorite' followed by a giant fake second coming? The Americans are most likely blabbering jibberish about the great tribulation already.

this is huge......2 killed in Ohio...WTF.....

we are traveling through a very cluttered area of space.....

who will be the next to die ?

The next false flag will be blamed on a meteor or asteroid ...imo

are we?

what is holding the clutter in this section of space?

as it seems everything else is following and orbit of some description..in a rotating galaxy

Galactic dust storm enters Solar System

17:20 05 August 2003 by Stuart Clark

The Sun's shifting magnetic field is set to focus a decade-long storm of galactic dust grains towards the inner Solar System, including Earth.

The effect this will have on our planet - if any - is unknown. But some researchers have speculated that sustained periods of cosmic dust bombardment might be related to ice ages and even mass extinctions.

During the last decade, the magnetic field of the Sun acted like a shield, deflecting the electrically charged galactic dust away from the Solar System. However, the Sun's regular cycle of activity peaked in 2001.

As expected, its magnetic field then flipped over, so that south became north and vice-versa. In this configuration, rather than deflecting the galactic dust, the magnetic field should actually channel the dust inwards.

This pattern may have been repeated during previous solar cycles but it is only now that astronomers are beginning to have the data they need to prove it.

Cosmic debris

The data come from the galactic dust grains impacts detected by DUST, an experiment on the ESA/NASA mission Ulysses, which was launched in 1990. The measurements, collected by ESA scientist Markus Landgraf and colleagues at the Max-Planck-Institute in Heidelberg, show that three times more galactic dust is now entering the Solar System than during the 1990s.

The effects of space dust on the Earth are currently unknown, but hotly debated. Every year, about 40,000 tonnes of cosmic debris fall onto the Earth, much of it creating meteors.

Some researchers have suggested recently that high dust inputs into the Earth's atmosphere, sustained for centuries or longer, could be responsible for ice ages and mass extinctions. Langraf is cautious about such claims but told New Scientist: "Everything in interplanetary space eventually affects the planets, but exactly how is very speculative."

High-altitude aircraft

He hopes Ulysses can provide some concrete data. "We get about two dust detections a week. We need to observe from now until 2006 in order to have enough data to see evidence of focusing," he says.

This data could then be correlated with the results from high-altitude aircraft experiments that routinely catch the space dust falling onto Earth. Historical comparisons might also be possible if deep polar ice cores are analysed for galactic dust.

At present, the Ulysses mission is only funded until September 2004. However, an extended mission is currently being considered.

i was on facebook yesterday posting one of the images from the main news section and some girl had just posted that she had seen "the biggest shooting star fall out of the sky ever"

she said it was that big that she expected to hear a massive bang but it didnt.

Hmph.. no pictures. So where is this dust coming from? The solar cycle has just stopped. It was supposed to be a high. then it just started up then BAM stopped and no activity. So no sun activity is supposed to be blamed for all these fireballs? So the dust is just clumping together and making fireballs? I don't buy it for a minute.

I seen quite a big meteorite the other day over where i live in Manchester so that can be added that to the list. it was a bright blue&green colour

That article, and a similar one in space.com, was written in 2003 before they even knew what kind of solar maximum we were heading for right now.

I think the premise is that our solar system has moved into a different part of space where there is this denser cluster of "stuff" which will burn up to form fireballs.

When our sun is strong it makes a powerful heliosphere that can stop debris from entering the solar system. But our sun is quite weak (very poor for 'solar maximum') and so our defences are down.
