Default Your Destiny, Free Will, the Law of Attraction

New convert issues :

If we indeed have a pre-determined destiny how does free will affect this? Eg one is destined to live 60 years but you decide to end your life at 25? That's when free will limits destiny?

DI spoke about the Law of Attraction, eg you want a red Ferrari and try to decode that into your reality via visualisation. If a red Ferrari is not in your destiny, you can't decode it into your reality no matter how hard you try? That is when destiny limits free will / choice?

Many people die without ever knowing their destiny, so I guess, in the matrix it does not really matter whether you do or you don't?

I think that the concept of 'free will' is a myth and has no basis in reality. Yes I believe that we have a will and a constitution, however, I don't believe that the will is somehow 'free'. It is our choices that are 'free' if you would like to term them that, meaning, we aren't compelled to chose things out of force and/or compulsion. Our will is not free but enslaved to the effects of our own causality. In regards to 'destiny' I think that it exists in a general sense but is not outside of our ability to shape it, if we believe that destiny can in fact limit will/choice then wouldn't that be similar to a form of Nihilism? I don't know? Good thread tho.

I'm getting rather tired of you, irvking. Lurkmoar.

"Free will" is really just freedom of choice, destiny (or fate) is a victim mentality trap that tries to get you to accept that nothing you do can save you from the universe's plan.

That is so good you should patent it.

Thanks for bothering with thoughts from a confused state of mind.

This is what happens when you are raised with religion, you are presented with all this compartmentalism of what is yours to change and what not. It's quite a process to shake all this, even when you realise it mostly makes no sense.

Appreciate you bothering with this. I'll forget the Red Ferrari and stick to commuting, it makes more sense.

I agree. Once you notice the chains, it's easier to shake them off. I'll admit though, it's a bitch and I still get trapped in those compartments and the "I can't do that" mentality lol

Yes, it does. This is a "dream", and although I believe it is much more than that simple concept, it does more or less describe the idea.

I really don't understand the first part and I have a very hard time understanding most of your posts. They are usually very unclear and, more often than not, attack someone.

Don't worry about it, the tactic really scares people.

Tx I've realised where I went wrong, too much thinking, lose the plot.

Life is simple, do not complicate it. So are the solutions.
