Arrow Salisbury Plain

The song is performed on Salisbury Plain in the second Beatles film, Help! and, just as it finishes, a bomb explodes. In the movie, the Beatles perform the song in the shadow of Stonehenge...

Lightbulb Minnie Mon Cher

The song key is E-flat major, showing up embellished chords with jazzy sprinkled dissonances...."You have always been my inspiration..." cryptically, the song is about his "muse"the voice in his head that tells him what words and music to write...

Lightbulb Angel

Production began in Studio 2 at Abbey Road on 29 December 1966 with piano as the main instrument. On 17 January 1967, trumpet player David Mason recorded the piccolo trumpet solo...Mason was paid 27 pounds and 10 shillings for his performance on the recording...Street scenes were filmed in and around Angel Lane in London's East End.

In Penny Lane there is a barber showing photographs Of every head he's had the pleasure to know And all the people that come and go Stop and say hello...

Penny Lane there is a fireman with an hourglass And in his pocket is a portrait of the Queen He likes to keep his fire engine clean It's a clean machine...

.
The Sixties are famous for the true artists who created their works without thought of reward or convention, but followed the promptings of their soul, to fulfill the vision of their hearts....

and here is the paradox of the latter day 'Beatles', the group who assumed the mantle of the originators of the music revolution...U2 began with such force and integrity, and then, somehow, became enmeshed in the dark world of elitist influences....

Here in the 'End Times' of the cycle of 3rd density life on Earth, we find the sold-out band still creating provocative sounds of Earth-life changes.....

This song from the movie, Gangs Of New York, is epic. It's sad that their integrity was shattered by Bono's naivety or whatever led him to collaborate with satanists.

These songs prove that they are the natural successors to the Beatles. Ironic that they lost their integrity along the way....

.
The first song on the first Mothers Of Invention album.

Frank's a strange dude, jew from LA, big wheel in the early formations of the Laurel Canyon clique of bands - the Byrds, Mamas and Papas, Buffalo Springfield, Joni Mitchell, I mean it was the hub of CIA/illuminoid manipulation of the hippie movement. It's amazing they had any real inspiration at all.... See Dave McGowan's Laurel Canyon Series for the full background of the LA Sixties music scene....

Lightbulb

"Three fishers went sailing out into the west,
Out into the west as the sun went down,
Each thought on the woman that loved him the best,
And children stood watching them out of the town.

For men must work and women must weep,
For there`s little to earn and many to keep,
And the harbor bar be moaning.

Three wives sat up in the lighthouse tower,
They trimmed the lamps as the sun went down,
And they looked at the squall and they looked at the shower
And the night-wrack came rolling in ragged and brown.

For men must work and women must weep,
Though storms be sudden and the waters be deep
And the harbor bar be moaning.

Three corpses lay out on the shining sand,
In the morning gleam as the tide went down,
And the women were weeping and wringing their hands,
for those who would never come back to the town.

For men must work and women must weep,
And the sooner it`s over, the sooner to sleep
And good-bye to that bar and its moaning"

Lightbulb Thunder & Lightning

The song contains sound effects of thunder and lightning, which earned Larry Levine a Grammy nomination....
