Default Icke's miserablism.

Is it just me or does anyone else get tired of the relentless, tireless wall of embittered cynicism in the DI newsletter ? I realise I might not be appealing to the right audience here and Davids doomy misanthropy holds sway amongst most here but is there at least a few people here who can see this disastrously cynical miserablism for what it is ?

So do you get the whole newsletter or just an update?

I don't think anyone can comment unless they receive the full newsletter. If you don't wish to be informed, then don't read them.

I personally don't see information as doom and gloom. I would prefer to have insight regarding the all too in your face agenda.

I think you're confusing cyncism with reality.

If fake news makes you feel better, just watch or read the mainstream media. I hear Britney's next CD will be awesome and Mariah is going to be a judge on AI, so everything is going to be just fine.

If it wasn't for David i would still be fast asleep, he speaks truth and if some want to mistake the truth for something else, well so be it, but at the end of the day the truth is still the truth and David speaks it

I don't read Icke's newsletter, but I'm familiar with his style.

He's trying to fire people up, not frighten and depress them.

The fact that people get frightened and depressed is not his fault.
It just means the fluoride and GMOs are doing their job.

Cowardice and apathy are not virtues.
Pacifism in war equals martyrdom or surrender.
If you don't intend to die like Jesus or Gandhi, stop acting like them.

There's no point pussy footing around or beating about the bush. David Icke gives it to you straight, that's why i've got a lot of time for the man.

^ What he said. That's exactly my style, and maybe that's why I'm drawn to it. No bullshit, just real talk.

Just as i_am said, perhaps you're only getting the "David Icke Update" preview e-mail, which is headed with "The David Icke Newsletter goes out on Sunday." The full newsletters go into much greater detail. I have at times been left scratching my head after reading the "update" email, and then when the newsletter comes I go "oh, so that's why he said that!"

£3 a month for some unique insights on each week's events and access to videos and such is totally worth it for me. Keeps the site running too. And no, I'm not being paid to say that!

It may well be as Icke sees things, and truth yes, but sometimes it does come over wrong..it could just be Icke having a bad day as he will do like any of us.

I get them and find them empowering. I sure like to know what’s going on and Icke gives it to me straight. I find him positive and uplifting rather than miserable.

OTOH, Alex Jones tends to scare me as he too gives it to you straight, but it doesn’t seem to offer any hope.

Perhaps the OP would be better off watching Entertainment Tonight and celebrity gossip shows, rather than following geopolitics?

No....

I'm reading his full letters and they are very detailed and well researched. I like his sincere, thoughtful and honest style. There are couple of things, in which I not fully agree with him, but I understand that these things are generally very hard to see if you live in the West (it is even hard to see for us in Russia, because of rewriting history in different ways by different people and some propagandas now). Russian perspective on some things would complement a picture ... Maybe.. somewhen.

But in the rest, he writes amazingly detailed about everything. And what is important - very clear and logical. And interesting. He is very competent in many things, part of which I did not know before reading... If sometimes (in fact quite rarely) he speaks or writes sharply, it is his right and I understand this and why he writes so. Oh, who can not be accused of cynicism - so this he is. He spends all his energy, time, empathy and passion for stopping coming nightmare. Cynicism??

Maybe you should go and hide behind the settee?

No one said the truth is easy.

Your expression doomy misantropy and miserabilism, really doesn't describe a writers expressions in any particular newsletter of their individual opinion, fact or agenda, those reactions come from how the individual reader interprets it, and their mental or emotional reaction internally from reading it.

Group mentality should not apply if you have the ability of free thought and personal opinion while ingesting information from any source newspapers, books, articles etc......

Yes, I agree. If you want to handle with all this, you need a resoluteness and a bit of anger, not for "fighting", but for saying "Bloody hell, I am - a lion, not a sheep!!!"

He is a great leader who inspires people.

Yup.
Humanity is fighting for its very survival, against a murderous faction of ancient reptiles.
If you don't want to be reminded of that fact, then please just forget about David Icke.
Encouraging selective denial isn't helping the situation at all.
Relative truth is one of the biggest lies ever sold to humanity.
Reality is fixed, and cannot be altered by wishful thinking.

I understand what the OP is saying, I guess David is part researcher/speaker and messenger and so if the world is full of doom and gloom then you must report doom and gloom, if you want David to report positive news then change the world, dont kill the messenger.

I don't find his writing anything like your description and to be fair, he is not exactly telling us about happy and joyful things. There is no easy way to say humanity is currently in a very bad place.

Unlike some researchers, he does give examples of do-able remedies and solutions to what are very difficult and potentially dire outcomes. It's up to each individual what they do with the information provided.
