It's not hard to figure out who I am. Someone on ATS found me pretty quickly.

In my Lodge I came in when our Sr. Deacon had just resigned so when I moved quickly through my catechism the WM asked me to step-in...two months later was elections and I already had my Warden's Certificate. When I joined the YR I jumped right into the line-up in the Chapter and Council where there were vacancies, and then into the Commandery after our EC was expelled for misuse of funds. My invite into the College and Conclave was a big surprise. My invite to the Chapter Grand Line was not as the MEGHP of Idaho is a member of my Lodge and YR bodies, and he helped knight me and was also my sponsor into the College. My OES Chapter doesn't have a lot of active men so I jumped right into the line-up when I got my proficiency. I'm still new to the SR, but with my memory I already have my parts in the 4° and 31°. Any Master Mason in good standing can join the Grand College of Rites. EDIT: It doesn't help that have a near eidetic memory either so ritual came very naturally to me.

Yeah, I do try to balance myself. Next year I'm going to focus mostly on Commandery and OES since I'm presiding, but once again I'll jump back into Blue Lodge. I love staying busy, but once I finish my degree I'm traveling to the East Coast and I'll probably start all over in the officer line-up.

Joulupukki is a Finnish Christmas figure. The name Joulupukki literally means Christmas goat or Yule Goat. The Finnish word "pukki" comes from the Teutonic root "bock" (equivalent of the English "buck", "Puck", or "billy-goat") and is an old Scandinavian tradition. Over time, the figure became more or less merged with Santa Claus.
http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showp...&postcount=176 The Yule Goat is one of the oldest Scandinavian and Northern European Yule and Christmas symbols and traditions. Originally denoting the goat that was slaughtered during the Germanic pagan festival of Yule, "Yule Goat" now typically refers to a goat-figure made of straw. It is also associated with the custom of wassailing, sometimes referred to as "going Yule Goat" in Scandinavia. http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showp...&postcount=276 http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=215150 Last edited by lightgiver; 30-06-2012 at 08:23 PM. |

The Bush Obama transformation scene is awesome. That old granny scene is a bit weird, I see what he is trying to say, making you white and sinless, but it's a bit alarming.

Riding the goat is a frat joke. Masons don't really ride a goat or have sex with one. Try Animal House. |
