And as they told us at 4:30 the smoke basically cleared up and you could see the mountains again. Now I understand the reason behind a controlled burn, but the smoke that was put out in this was unbelievable it covered most of a 12,000+ feet mountain and did so for most of the day. As it stands right now Arizona we have 5 Forest Fires burning and they are working on putting them out, and from what's been said so far they started from lightning this past weekend. Thing that I wonder is it worth doing this at times and how much pollution is put into the air in a controlled burn versus a forest fire. I know last summer we had a fire just south of the Grand Canyon that lasted over a week, and we had the ones along New Mexico border that burned for over a month. Anyways I just wanted to get some others view points on this.
