Default OBE tips or techniques?

Does anyone have any guides or tips for OBEs?

I feel like I was getting "close" last night. As I was laying in bed, I was awake and able to remain conscious, and at one point, it felt like the feeling before you pass out (or faint). A sort of wave came over me and I got a sort of dizzy or cold, tingly, rushing feeling. I think this was the sleep paralysis wave. I ended up coming out of it though. I think I got too excited about it happening and ended it.

much easier if you try after some sleep. especially if you can keep still when you wake up. very easy to get excited but you should get a little further each time. the easiest time for me was waking up just after a dream, i just focussed on as many sights and sounds from the dream as i could and was soon completely immersed in it again.

also had one in the morning by just trying to focus on background noise as i fell asleep, and it was enough to keep my mind slightly active. as soon as you feel any kind of buzz or 'extra bodily' sensations, just try and focus all your attention on your imaginary/dream body and stand up or roll out, while keeping your real body still and trying not to focus on it
