At least 17 Afghan civilians, including women and children, have been killed in an overnight attack by US-led forces in a village in Afghanistan's eastern Logar province,Press TV reports.

The victims lost their lives in a Wednesday pre-dawn operation by US-led forces in Baraki Barak district.

Maj. Martyn Crighton, a spokesman with US-led forces, claimed that there were no civilian casualties in the nighttime strike.

Crighton, however, confirmed that two women, who were wounded in the operation, were shifted to a military base for treatment.

Overnight operations by the US-led forces have resulted in civilian casualties and increasing tension between Washington and Kabul.

I watched this documentary recently and it brought me to tears.

Whats sadder is that it is still happening to this day
