Do you "see" with your own eyes, 1st person or do you overlook the dream, 3rd person view?

Thanks, I would like more people to post, because I would like to compare how many people have 1st person view and how many have 3rd person view when they dream

yeah ive had some 3rd person dreams, can be interesting but mostly they just feel like a sign of passivity or too much tv etc

The thing is, of all dreams I remember, all of them were in 3rd person view, the idea is to see how many people dream in one of those views and see who is in the majority and what are the thoughts of those people and why, of course Im not asking for a scientific study rather the first thing that comes to mind as its usually the best thought, contemplation brings complexity and it leads us down te wrong way

I dream 1st person, and thinking about how a dream would be visioned in 3rd person.

it can be disturbing at times because you are able to be anywhere anytime, for example I often see myself from all angles but during that I can also see with "my own eyes", I overlook myself but if I dont want to look in a certain direction in 1st person view then I wont see it in 3rd person view, its a bit hard to explain with the words I have at my disposal

if it happens alot you can use it as a dreamsign to get lucid. been slipping between 1st and 3rd perspective more after reading this...

There are some limitations I think thats just my brain trying to make sence and trying to fit this into our "normal, real world" perspective, as far as lucid dreaming I think Im getting real close I get a lot of signs but I never use them when I dream dont know why tho

I do this also

I dream mainly in 1st perspective but from time to time I have dreams only in 3rd perspective mode, then there are the times I do both in the same dream. I also love the flying dreams I get 'cos I feel so light it's the most amazing, indescribable feeling

I was just thinking about this the other day.

Nearly always in the 3rd person, looking over my right shoulder. Although in a recent recurring dream I began to view it from about 20ft behind and above with the gap between viewing me and dream me decreasing as the scene progressed.
I'm neither an ardent film buff or telly addict.

well that was only one suggestion

once i realised that in loads of dreams, i was basically just a floating head. i took it to mean that i was too intellectually focussed and was nelecting the rest of my body and it hasnt happened since.

can be so frustrating when you are switching between participating and just watching without even getting lucid

You know I never even thought about dreaming in the third person, which means seeing yourself move around like some gaming character right?.

That is really weird people who see their dreams in third person in my opinion.

I have only to my memory of my dreams viewed my dream through the first person as I would normally look at things while awake.

I experienced a very brief feeling of lucidity in the most recent episode of my recurring dream but woke myself up by laughing out loud when the sleeping I realised what was happening. Dang.

It's only the second time I've been aware inside a dream. The first experience was also cut short by my laughing and whooping. Double-dang.

my imediate response was to say i've never had a 3rd person dream but then just realised the recurring dream i had as a kid was sort of third person and that i have seen myself in dreams so i suppose i must have
