Let me suggest you read the centre's own information.
It is a Jewish run organisation and it makes use of PAIN as part of their behavior modification program.
So called therapy was administered in the form of spanking with a spatula, pinching the feet, and forced inhaling of ammonia.

Surely this is cruel beyond imagination to do this to disabled children, but worse still the centre administers 2-second electric skin shocks to residents using a Graduated Electronic Decelerator (GED), which was invented by the founder Michael Israel to administer the skin-shocks by remote control through electrodes worn against the skin. Most often, the shocks are initiated manually by the staff. Automatic punishment is also used by forcing the patient to sit down on a cushion; if they stand up, they are automatically shocked. To address high-risk, low-frequency behaviors, a "Behavior Rehearsal Lesson" has been planned: The person is restrained and forcibly told to misbehave: if the student pulls away, he is shocked; if he follows the order to engage in the risky behavior, he is shocked even more. You say you want the people responsible to be punished, but guess what, Matthew Israel miraculously was awarded an agreement by the Attorney General, he was only given probation for five years and the centre wasnt even closed down.

Matthew Israel pleaded not guilty to the charges of obstructing justice by destroying evidence. The evidence he destroyed were copies of videotapes that detailed what happened in August 2007. People call this a good free country when things like this are happening in it. This has been going on for years in mental hospitals, nursing homes, grouphomes, and people don't seem to notice or care. It just makes me sick to live in a place that does this to people. I don't care what their disabilities are nobody deserves to be treated this way. If people really knew they would ring the necks of these people which is what I feel like doing now, but one person can't save the world so I pray. Her suggestion that the convictions were based on “some of the most fantastic claims ever presented” presumptuously ignores the reality of the cases. The three Amiraults — Gerald, Violet and Cheryl – were convicted after two trials before different judges and juries almost one year apart. They were represented by able and well-known defense counsel. The convictions were upheld after review by state and federal appellate courts. The McMartin case in California was the result of a botched legal system and Kelly Michaels’s conviction was overturned because of legal errors. Contrary to Ms. Rabinowitz’s implication, the Amirault convictions were neither of these.

Studies show, as did testimony from a nationally recognized pediatric gynecologist, that most sexually molested young children have absolutely normal physical examinations.



However, in Amirault, the majority of the female children who testified had some relevant physical findings, as did several female children involved in the investigation who did not participate in the trial. The findings included labial adhesions and hymenal scarring of the sort present in a very small percentage of non-sexually abused children.

Ms. Rabinowitz’s article is a superficial, one-sided look at a case handled extensively and carefully by the legal system. The victims and their families in these cases have been irrevocably harmed by what was done to them by the Amiraults. Every argument raised by Ms. Rabinowitz was ably presented by the defense at the trials. The juries, by their verdicts, rejected these arguments. Justice was done.

My son, who is autistic, and near graduating from high school, was tormented, along with other kids into having to sit perfectly rigid by the bus drivers aide as they took a 45 minute ride to school every day.

Many of these kids have nervous tics and all are on heavy medication. The "Aide" was a former special education student herself with profound problems of her own. Finally this bullshit was resolved after a year of torment to all the kids. The bus company did not want to hire anyone more qualified as it was a minimum wage job. They finally canned/sacked her. the previous year I drove my son to school every day to avoid the whole situation. All of this so the bus company did not have to hire a more expensive person.

Can you imagine if they allowed school bus aides to tote tasers. They would be zapping the kids for just turning their heads or sneezing. I am so sick of the fucking bullshit that is going on in the world. The whole thing needs to be leveled to the ground and start over again in tribes. Things are so messed up, I can not even comprehend it.
