Default Female hair loss/thinning hair

Hi can you give me any advice regarding, female hair loss and thinning hair. For the past few months my hair has been falling out and has become very coarse, dry and thin, I now have bald patches. My doctor has put me on Iron and folic acid tablets as I am anaemic due to Fibroids. I don’t feel quite as exhausted as I did, but I can not see any improvement in my hair, this is really getting me down, is there anything else I can do. My doctor says my hair might grow back.

Ive lost hair when my thyroid was really acting up, Ive been using lugols 7% iodine solution (the stain mehod) to fix it, plus eleuthero (siberian ginseng) capsules to deal with exhausted adrenals. Fortunately I stopped losing hair now, but I know how scary it can be when it comes out by the handfuls

Firstly, don't worry, your hair will grow back.

Illness, stress or faulty nutrition can all be factors in female hair loss.

Four things I would recommend:
1) A high potency natural multivitamin/mineral (Containing all 11 of the B Complex vitamins)
2) Zinc
3) Seaweed/pure ocean kelp tablets
4) Consume more (complete) protein

These things should do the trick. Be patient though, won't happen overnight.

Does colouring hair also cause hair loss?

Kelp is good too. I suffered some bad hair loss after receiving a tetanus jab a few yrs ago. But it will grow back. I noticed little bald patches too, Build up your iron levels by eating lots of green food.

Try hair loss shampoo at boots, there's Foltene and another one in a blue bottle. Might at least help somewhat and will be better for your hair than other shampoos cos it's got vitamin enrichment in it etc. Give it a try at least.

Vitamin D deficiency is certainly a known cause. Have a 25-hydroxy vitamin D test.

Co-enzyme q10 in it's reduced form Ubiquinol will regrow your hair...it's actually been used for hair loss in chemotherapy etc.

I have had this, late last year. Humans moult just like animals do between october-november. I had hairbrushes full of hair!! It's thickened up now tho that spring is coming. In the meantime I used Nizoral shampoo and Samy Fat Hair creme to make my hair look thicker and soothe my flaky scalp. Olive oil can help, but you need to rinse really well or your hair will be greasy.

things to avoid:

normal shampoos-they all contai sodium laural sulfate, propelene glycol or such. there are brands of organic shampoos that can help your scalp.

tablets-most of those contain silica or silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate these causes hairloss among other things.
wifi-the radiation sizes down the blood going to the follicles. these days you have to phone up your internet service provider and get your wifi switched off manually on a separate website.

forget about the blowdrier.

think of:

on ebay there are a few organic wholesalers of spirulina or chlorella powder or organic tablets, that should replinish your nutrients just nicely.

drink filtered water.

rubbing olive oil into your scalp a few times a week.

twice a week, mix 1 whole uncooked egg with lemon juice squeezed freshly from a lemon, and leave it in for about 40 mins, then wash off.

hope this helps.

Nioxine shampoo and conditioner has helped me lots. Go on their website and do the quiz to find out which Nioxine formula is best for you.

Also a Chinese herbal tea called He Shou Wu, you can get it in either pill or tea form from most Chinese Medicine or acupuncture clinics.

Thyroid sounds underactive...see Thyroid UK and Thyroid Tears and book Tears Behind Closed Doors by Diana Holmes..and a book on Hypothyroidism and its Management by Dr Gordon Skinner..online...the folic acid is not being used by body and indicactive of low thyroid...and putting in vits will not help because of blockages and hormones needed first and Adrenals glands need 24hr Saliva sample you will find Labs on Thyroid UK Genova Diagnostics is a decent one. Armourthyroid is what i recommend as synthetic hormones are useless and dangerous as lots of petro chems in the tablets like benzenes...i also recommend Somatomed by Vespro Life Sciences to unblock cell receptors and liver support etc and helps hair grow back to it's original colour too, as does Armour...detoxyourworld.com for minerals liquid ionics...and enzymes and see Dr Sarah Myhill...think about Harmonikireland.com DR Richard Schulze Master Herbalist Intestinal cleanse and kidney and liver flushes as need to get rid of pesticides and heavy metals, list is endless..

Also Vitamin UK for B12 and folic acid Lozenges...with underactive thyroid you do get dry skin and hair no matter what you do and some EFA pure fish oils like Morepa...for Omega 3 and do not expect NHS to treat this correctly...also the Vitamin UK do a good Evening Primrose oil Efamol i was once prescribed...also series of Colonic Irrigations by qualified Practitioner is good for energy and getting rid of toxins...at least 3 then maintain...

I only wash my hair once a week....there is no need to wash it constantly...that's when it becomes dry and brittle...especially with hair like you full anglo types..british generally.....once a week girls...

Has this situation corrected itself ?
If not,the best herb for hair falling ,in my opinion ,is a Chinese herb called Ban Tu.
It comes in pill form .Ban Tu Wan.
The English name for it,on the box itself,is Alopecia Areata.
Most Chinese pharamcies have it.
