Default The Egyptian Goddess of Cannabis

One of many reasons the Yahweh based religions just don't compare with the ancient Egyption religion.

Of course Sehsat was the goddess of other things as well. As with everything in ancient Egypt, every god and every symbol had multiple meanings and attributes.

Thanks. I had never heard of her.

From wikipedia:

Ma Gu's name compounds two common Chinese words: ma "cannabis; hemp" and gu "aunt; maid".

We have endless threads all over the internet posting affirmations of support for the nut job Yahweh and his son, a religion that was based on rejecting the Egyptians.

It is quite evident from even the quickest glance into ancient egyption mummyology that the Gods spoken about in the OT where the ancient Egyptian Gods/Pharoahs/Humans.

As for cannabis in the bible. Qaneh-Bosm, Kaneh-Bosm, Kineboisen

Kaneh-Bosm was spoken about in the bible a number of times, it was among the items brought by the three wise men, and it was mentioned by Jesus alongside the words we must obey the laws of the land. The laws of the land had outlawed Kaneh-Bosm in certain areas

Yeah I was just going to say, kaneh-bosom was the major ingredient in the sacred annointing oil described in exodus. Moses and jesus used it. Jesus disciples used it on people for "casting out demons". Originally it was meant only for preists, but jesus changed that up, and used it on loads of people.

"Annointed" is the meaning of the word "Christ". Technically to be a "christian", you need to have been lathered in this psychoactive oil.

Moses probably also used magic mushrooms, or at least something else psychedelic, given the descriptions of "Manna", that also imply a psychedelic quality.

Of course the egyptians had imported a bucket load of drugs, well before global trade. They had cocaine, nicotine and THC as well as the blue lotus in detected in them. Of course nicotine, cocaine, and cannabis, are not local to egypt. And the egyptains were way cool.

The invented baptism, and communion, and forgiveness of sins, well before christianity. They also predated their monotheist beleif (I think one form of christian mystics was started during this monotheist egyptain period, and they draw some form of parallel clearly)

The drug taking probably rubbed off on the early christian figures, but they seemed to use it more for healing/shamanic purposes -"testing the righteousness of the soul" and suchlike, rather than parties, and sacred ritual...
