I know that people eat too much processed food from the supermarket but cases like this are a whole other level...

Tempestt Henderson of Florida has an extremely rare medical condition called pica. This disorder gives her an appetite for substances which have little to no nutritional value! Others with the condition have been known to consume items such as coins, chalk, batteries, and toothbrushes.

Tempestt says, "In the shower, I like to lather up a green bar of soap, and lick the bubbles. And as the soap disintegrates, I pop a tiny amount of the soap into my mouth and suck it. It's heavenly!" That will stop you from cursing !

She has recently been receiving help in the form of behavioral therapy. Doctors have also encouraged her to go for long walks, making sure to avoid locations where soap is present, such as laundromats and bathrooms!

Although, what would happen if she saw a cigarette butt on the floor or an old piece of chewing gum?

Despite the fact that this is an unhealthy habit that she’s seeking help to overcome, she still agreed to do a photo shoot featuring her eating soap and laundry detergent.

over the course of my sons life time he has probably eaten 100 bars of soap, he prefers coal tar soap as he says it tastes like a steam engine, mind you he is autistic!

I love the smell of coal tar soap..... I just wished it tasted as good as it smelt.

:d:d:d yes my son has pica. he also loves to eat red brick, which has been embarasing at times when your sat having a meal in an old world pub and he is stood there with his mouth clamped around the inglenook fire place. you get some strange looks!

Me and my mate used to do that in junior school.

The brick was all crumbly and was probably healthier than eating sweets, but you had to avoid eating cobwebs and spiders, that stuff doesn't taste good.

All the minerals are probably good for you.
