I like to take what media I can from sources that aren't well known. I'm considerably young so it's real easy for me to accept things as they come or as they are given/handed out. I was a regular kid (by my definition of the word) and watched more t.v. than I spent outside. The best defense I had was a mother who kept us kids away from things such as smut and foul language (though it didn't always work). Now, I recognize the "dangers" and have stopped watching t.v. and distance myself from pop culture and fashion, but still play video games that are saturated in violence, some of which have highly suggestible material (subliminal messages for example). So, for the most part I consider myself fortunate rather than a loner who isn't well informed. Honestly, what I could do is read more often...

I'm twenty-two years old so I don't know much about media or w.e from the past (like the 80s and early 90s). I'm pretty well isolated today so I don't hear much about current events either. The only source of information I have is the internet and I don't look into much; more about paranormal things than anything else.

I want to create a thread that contains useful media for people that show an interest in such things that counter ignorance and otherwise arrogant attempts of persuasion or the censure of true belief.

To start off I thought I'd reference some music/rap. Anyone listen or heard of the group Jedi Mind tricks? I'll post one:

Conservatism and Liberalism they divide the line

then they show you ads for the marines and they decide its time

take the television show cops for example
that’s the shit that they want America to watch and sample
never showing you how dirty that they really is
and that they hide behind they badge and that they really bitch

I’m gonna try to tell you how they get you in another way
they tell you that there’s something wrong with you, you need they drugs
but there ain’t nothing fucking wrong with you, they thieving thugs
they sell drugs and commercials at the same time
