Default Ofcom auctioning 4G frequencies - MY RANT

I was just reading about how Ofcom are to host an auction to sell 4G frequencies to all the telecommunications companies and I decided to post a comment to the article. I got a bit carried away and I ending up going off on a tangent and into a long rant about humanity and technology... you know, like you do.

Anyway, thought I might as well post it here too.

Here is where I first read about the 4G auction:

And here is where I posted my comment/rant:

My Comment / Rant

NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY... person, corporation, or government OWNS a frequency. To suggest such a thing is beyond insane and almost criminal. I mean come on! the arrogance of it is shocking. But then again, what do you expect from a capitalist driven society that depends on ownership of STUFF like land, water, and other materialistic possessions. Its a crazy mentality that's literally destroying the planet and it should be stopped. If only people knew how much is taken from the planet just so a small minority of people can have a smartphone. Its beyond exploitative, as I said, its CRIMINAL.

Okay, granted 4G may have its advantages from a technological perspective but nobody (including mainstream science) knows how and if nature needs these frequencies itself to keep the planets ecosystem functioning properly. Its unknown science which means its DANGEROUS science. Its the same a Radios, nobody on the planet really knows how a radio works, they know HOW to build one of course, but nobody could tell you how it works, nobody knows exactly why we have frequencies and what they're there for. Is it any wonder we see a massive increase in extreme weathers around the globe, earthquakes, tornadoes etc etc etc. Science has an awfully poor habit of only considering short-term consequences, very rarely do they ever consider conseqences that could arrive 50-100 years in the future. Why is this? Its because they can't... its virtually impossible to consider all the variables. But scientists by their very nature are incredible arrogent (and ignorant) people who don't like admitting they don't know something so often long-term consequences are brushed under the carpet and ignored. After all, they probably won't be around to answer to their mistakes so why worry about it. This horrific and dangerous mentality is RIFE in most areas of modern mainstream science which prooves how very little we actually know with any certainty.

I know, I know, some may say I'm clutching at straws but the truth of the matter is we are progressing far too quickly and naively IMO and this is going to eventually create far reaching consequences that are going to affect us all but more than likely our children will feel the biggest brunt of it. Humanity has an incredibly childish belief system where they believe if they can't see it, it doesn't matter or exist and we also have a childish habit of jumping into the fire without checking its safe first.

Anyone who has done a little research on diseases such as Alzheimer's, Dementia, ADHD and any other neurological illness as well as all types of cancer, they will notice the trends seem to suggest that modern societies around the world have far more cases (usually 3 times as many) than any under-developed countries. The data also seems to suggest that these increases started at around the same time as mobile telecommunications came onto the market. A coincidence? I think not.
The problem is, we have telecommunication corporations who profit massive amounts from this industry who are conducting studies that claim this technology is safe... well of course they would, wouldn't they.

The crazy part of all this is, if you asked any CEO of any major telecommunications company if they would sacrifice their children's and their grand children's health in order to have a wealthy, luxurious, possession rich life, I hope (maybe naively) that many of them would say 'no' but this is exactly what they are doing while using their denials and greed to comfort them and their conscious. I wonder what they will say to their kids in the future when these kids turn around and ask, 'how come your generation was so greedy and you've left us all with very little clean air, water or natural resources?' or if they ask, 'what did you do to stop the exploitation of the planet when you was a CEO?' Well, I'd love to hear what they have to say to that, no doubt it will be a VERY uncomfortable conversation. But who am I kidding? They'll probably either still be full of denials and excuses or they'll be lost in a vegetable state of dementia because of their own blindness in the past.

Think for a second, what do you think would happen if it was proved conclusively that mobile telecommunications were the cause of these health problems? Do you really think society can now go back on this technology to put an end to these GROWING trends? I doubt it, not when there is profits to be made, these giant corporations will do whatever it takes to survive. I guess these mass health problems will be considered an acceptable sacrifice, or rather, whats that phrase they like to use so much?? 'collateral damage', 'acceptable losses', or lol... for 'the greater good' If Satan is real, he is probably worried about overcrowding in the future. It makes me so sick.

What is wrong with this planet?
I'm starting to think that intelligence is the definition of stupidity. Now isn't that a funny thought? It sounds very plausible to me. lol
One day all of these advancements are going to bite us on the ass 'big-time' and it'll be far too late to change anything. This is the consequence of PROFIT-BASED corporations controlling technology IMO.

Ill be honest with you, I actually hope for the day when the Sun releases a mass of solar flares for a couple of weeks that literally fry's every gadget and electrical device on the planet and as a consequence, setting humanites technology back for at least another 100 years. This is the only thing that could possibly change our attitude towards technology and maybe make us a bit more careful in the future. Believe it or not, but I genuinely have faith that this is natures safety net, a fall-back just in case all-else fails. Basically, natures 'natural' defence against naive hairless apes creating technology that harms themselves, the planet and other creatures. Or on the other hand, maybe the machines will rise-up and sort us out, kicking our asses into gear and making us REGRET technology so that we learn to live a NATURAL life again and be re-connected to the planet - our ONLY home.

This would be bliss as I personally think the stone-age is the only sustainable level of technology for human beings to live in but that's a whole different subject in its own right. The premise of it is VERY VERY simple, people re-learn to only take what they need from the planet and ONLY when they need it. Every other animal on the planet lives by this very simple natural law which human beings have forgotten. Personally I believe all the animals have got it right and we have got it all so very wrong.
I must admit, I had to laugh at the bit where I said 'intelligence is the definition of stupidity' Oh.. that is so so true.

I do love a good rant, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted after that. Doubt the website owner will feel the same.

Gordon brown got about 30 billion for 3g. If cameron plays his cards right he could possibly wipe out that 100 billion bankers debt with 4g.

It won't stop him pushing through his 100 billion plus spending cuts though.

BTW, of course you're right in that cellphones give us cancer (far more than passive smoking), but with those levels of money flying around in the background, public health issues will always take a back seat.

Damn how nice it is to live in Finland at these times... Makes me feel disgust, big time! The cellphone freqs here are 10 to 100 stronger than europes usual level.. So they say i can for sure believe that. In towns there's one cell mast in almost every 500m no matter where you go. i hate it.

PS. Already few relatives have died to cancers and brain rot known as Alzheimer's.
