This is the IPCC on steroids as it includes all biodiversity and the UN mandate to control every aspect of our lives. At the moment they do not have many teeth but that is due to change.

They bandy words around like sustainability and biodiversity.

UNEP is currently undertaking a consultative process on the reform of International Environmental Governance, as one of the pillars of sustainable development to identify pathways for improving the complex and fragmented system of MEAs and environmental financing to better support the overall process of sustainable development.

There's a biodiversity summit in Nagoya, Japan next week where the UNEP will be given teeth to act.

The IPCC and UNEP are to be rolled into one next February and will be called the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem
Services or IPBES.
