plus remember in the weeks coming up to it, how goldman sachs were apparently getting investigated and going down the shitter. suddenly they short sell the gulf after selling all their BP shares and this happens. this is the financial arm of the US doing whatever it can to get out of the corner it has backed itself into. i hope i am wrong, but all signs point to this being a desperate acts of insanity on behalf of the US elite.
and while the media keep focussing on the well, there are underground leaks coming from the sea floor nearby which they seem to be unable to explain or unable to ever compare to anything that has happened before. all in all the whole lot fckin stinks

Does the Icelandic volcano activity overlap(timewise) with this spill/leak/whatever it is?

My consideration may have been vocalized already, so with apologies I say this. I cannot help but wonder-more so dwell on, about the total lack of both intelligence and urgency of this "leak" crisis. So, why? Why can't they stop a leak they started? They have (I'm guessing 'still') the intelligence to begin drilling 5000ft down, then several thousand more feet through the Earth (at that depth). In my limited ability, I KNOW I could have stopped this leak from the start, or at least controlled it, taking for granted the stated "givens." They can control a nuclear reaction, send men to the Moon (well, maybe), and visit the bottom of the deepest part of the Earth's oceans. And they can drill 5000ft down. Why can't they stop a simple leak?
Maybe it's the wrong question. Maybe I ought to ask we "don't" they stop the leak? I never really saw it as a matter of "can't," of inability. Ability abounds, while action lacks. Okay, so I'm donning my tinfoil helmet. If the Earth is under a surreptitious attack by a malevolent alien presence, what if this "oil leak" is a process of their own terra-forming? Or, at least a mode of attack that matters not to their species. Man has done it to man for less, from murder for shoes, to massacre for land, genocide for belief. For even the most trite reasons, if we can do it to ourselves, why expect the rest of the Universe to follow any different rules, to be of any more noble mindset. What if simply they need something from the Earth, some natural resource that wiping the life of the planet doesn't matter enough in their grand scheme of things? We may be no different to them than the dirt through which we drill for oil, or land-clear cut, for mining. We-humanity, may be an nothing more than a simple obstacle, of whose removal is light-years easier than careful negotiation. I keep coming back to this as the only logical deduction. Scientists have said just two days ago that a nuclear bomb could be a fix. Scientist?-you know the smart guys. With every report of what they say they are going to do, I scream "no." They do it. They fail. On to the next supposed attempt, and with that comes failure-hopefully just failure, because everything they have done has made it worse. Meanwhile, I just read that a SECOND rig capsized and sunk, ... a month ago. How was that not a bigger story. AND, I found that because I was looking for more internet info on the "new" leak discovered somewhere else in the Gulf. Three issues of oil leaks, and the media sits virtually mute. Also mute are the environmentalists. WHERE ARE THEY?! How is it that I now about snail darters, and screech owls, and whale wars, but I have yet to see any environmentalist out on this? No Greenpeace, no whatever. I watch a lot of news, so don't say I merely missed it. There is something wrong here, and it is deeper than 5000ft. |
