Default Designing Tattoos?

I am considering getting a few tattoos done. Would love to have some great messages/meaningful symbols as tattoos and not some generic star or something!

Is there anyone here who designs them?

Design your own then take it to a good tattoo artist who can then make it into something awesome just for you - that's what I did

Choosing the right tattoo artist is the important bit here....

haha well i wouldn't consider myself particularly good at art, otherwise i would have gone ahead and designed one already!

Was kinda hoping there were people on the forum who were a lot more artistic than i am.

Once i have a design, then the search begins for a good place to get tattoos!

Never a truer word spoken. When I was 19, I went to Fat Bob's Emporium in Ispwich with no research... lovely bloke but the tattoo's are not up to scratch. 21 years later I'm finally getting it redone soon. Learnt the hard way.

You don't have to be good at art. Just a quick sketch and a few ideas of what it is you want the tattoo to represent. A decent tattooist will work with you to make your ideas come to life.

The other problem with getting a tattoo design done by someone who isn't a tattooist is they won't have a proper understanding of what you can and can't do when tattooing.

Seriously, do some research and find your tattooist first - that's the most important and time consuming bit.

I'd recommend 'Nipper' in Bridgend tattoo studio - the guy's awesome (who did my tattoo you ask? )

I don't know played out those nautical star tattoos are where you live, but California seems to be the capital of those stupid star tattoos. Also a lot of Iron crosses. I came up with a couple variations as a cynical reaction, one was the upside-down Iron cross, the funny part being the name. But people like my nautical pentagram idea.

anti-swastika tattoos are funny , if you happen to be Jewish.(throwing in the jew card is a popular trend around here it seems)
But i also drew one of a swastika made of question marks that reads Que? Que? Que? - try on that paradigm

Thanks for the advice Krakhead, although Bridgend is little far for me!

Any pics of your tattoos? If you don't mind me asking.

Nope, but I'll sort one out for you (don't hold your breath! ) - Which area of the country are you? I may know of a decent tattooist in the area - or another member here will

Sup and sick idea for the nautical star!
Yup they are played out here in Cali...I took my artwork in and had it hooked up...my avatar! There's Ra on the other side also with an obelisk and a smaller pyramid.
A lot of symbolism involved I sigh inside when someone asks about it.
depending how lazy I am in the explanation sometimes I say oh I like pyramids or I like the mummy LOL people are like huh that's cool!

who cares about something meaningfull.

it's not gonna mean anything if you gotta ask people for ideas anyways.

what you want is something that looks super cool, something to make people think, "wow, thats a cool guy".

Or completely evil? LOL..But you speak of the truth!
tattoos should mean something to the one that's being tatted
Anyone's elses ideas would only make it there's. Might as well go get a matching tattoo!

Which makes me wonder is there any tattoo artist that are pro Illuminati/nwo? Ya think our skin is there canvas for symbolic mindfuching possibilities? Just a thought!
