The woman showed no sign of life. There was no measurable brain activity and the blood was drained from it. Her eyes where taped shut and the face covered. Her ears also had some clicking device placed in them to monitor her. Yet still she was able to "see" and "hear" what was going on around her. She could even recall conversations they had.

Haha. If this story makes you want to have brain surgery just so you can have an NDE then you might have better luck with something a little safer. Try EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as it was found that this therapy was able to produce NDEs. I may come back with more info later.

A bit dangerous. It's still practised today though, but usually for medical conditions like pressure in the head. Wouldn't it increase the risk of infection. Why not try something boring and safer like yoga or qigong?
