Well, I DO try to "KEEP IT SIMPLE", SHOWING what IS SIMPLY "THERE" For ALL TO SEE... ...NOT posting ENDLESS LIES (myths) from MODERN/CATHOLIC 'human history', TWISTED AROUND, TRULY ANCIENT GLOBAL HUMAN HISTORY Horse genome throws up surprises * Leigh Dayton, Science writer * From: The Australian * November 11, 2009 12:00AM HARD on the heels - well, hoofs - of Shocking's Melbourne Cup win, international scientists have revealed the genetic blueprint of the horse. And like the pride of Flemington, the results are, yes, shocking, the consortium reported in the journal Science. For starters, the decoded genome of the domestic horse Equus caballus is more like a human's than a cow's. Moreover, modern horses are not all descended from an ancestral horse as previously believed, in contrast to domestic dogs, which diverged from wolves. (DOGS ARE WOLVES developed from A VARIETY of "TYPES", as MAN MOVED over ALL THE WORLD! ASIAN=DINGO, BASENJI, RIDGEBACKS CANAAN DOG! NORTHERN GREY=SHEPARDS etc.) According to team leader and University of Sydney animal geneticist Claire Wade, people probably just rounded up wild horses, first for food and then for transport and industrial muscle. (HORSES were TOOLS & WEAPONS of "THE NATIONS" that JOSHUA DESTROYED after WINNING The Wars IN CANAAN, ON FOOT!) "Dogs derived from wolves, which are very ferocious. It's likely we [humans] didn't take all the dogs, whereas we took all the horses," said Professor Wade, who recently moved from the Broad Institute of Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston. Dogs can blame genes The Australian, 27 Aug 2009 Professor Wade and her colleagues ordered, or sequenced, the 2.7 billion bits, so-called nucleotides, in the DNA of a thoroughbred mare named Twilight, a resident of Cornell University in New York state. They then compared 42 snippets - so-called single nucleotide polymorphisms or SNPs - from Twilight's genome with comparable SNPs in dozens of other breeds, from Arabians and Belgian draught horses to Icelandic horses, as well as the Mongolian wild horse, previously believed to be the ancestral horse. (NOT BY ME, AS TOLD FOLK! Because I KNOW The DIFFERENCE Between "KINDS" and the INVENTED WORD, 'species') They found very little difference between them, Professor Wade said: "We can't yet distinguish what makes a thoroughbred a thoroughbred or what makes a Belgian draught horse a Belgian draught horse." Still, team member geneticist Cecilia Penedo, of the University of California at Davis, said the new sequence would help scientists identify the genes for specific horse traits, say power, and 90 known hereditary diseases. Professor Wade said many of those diseases were shared with humans, making the horse a model for studying the conditions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SEE, oh Please SEE that when you DO WHAT GOD SAID and STUDY WHAT IS, IN THE WHOLE, REAL WORLD, i.e. DO GOOD SCIENCE, what GOD ACTUALLY Told Us, FROM THE BEGINNING, IS TRUE!
