I would like to explain myself, if that's OK?

First is cheers for the invite to this forum. I'll be honest and say that i've seen this forum before I was invited and i've read it from time to time.

And to continue, i'm not an out and out Christian. I AM at times moving that way. And to continue the honesty, sometimes I feel a love for Christ and God.

But it is difficult to fully commit myself, i'm still coming to terms with some things.

One thing I will say is, apparently i'm a very strong person. I am told at times I have a strong personality...even at times in my life when I personally have felt 'inadequate' in life, I have still been told by people that know me I am self-assured.

So I do not know if that is suited to being a Christian, and how could it be answered?

Personally I think maybe it can be, but I think when someone stands up for what they believe in, in todays life only certain things qualify, eg standing up for being dishonest or what have you, ha!

I also think it is difficult in my life to find true Christians, and I would like to be around them rather than come to this journey on my own, perhaps someone could direct a person such as I who is north of the border of England on this?

Also - if this is not suitable to this forum, then please remove me, no probs it's OK.

Cwl, you are wanted here and needed here. I'm sure if everyone was being totally honest, we all have our doubts from time to time. Our faith is tested on a daily basis. You may have doubts about yourself, but God doesn't. He loves you just the way you are. If anyone on the DI forum tries to make you feel bad about yourself, don't take it personally. Remember, when someone is trying to put you down, they are also trying to build themselves up. Laugh them off. And thanks for joining our group. You are a great addition.

I think we are all like this, part of what it is like to be human. G-d is unchanging, but humans waver. nothing to be ashamed of, on the contrary, it is important in being a christian to understand this about yourself. that way, even when you feel far away from G-d, you still know that G-d is right there with you.
