It reminds me of what it was like talking to my former best friend when he got back from Iraq... bragging about abusing detainees and crap. I guess somehow he thought I would think it was cool but he didn't know what a different person I had become since he left. (I woke up, had a child)

It strikes me as real. Mainly because like I said the way he talks is just how my friend did... plus he is drinking and that is when my friend usually talked about Iraq.

I found this here... http://forum.prisonplanet.com/index.php?topic=5046.0

It doesn't seem real to me.

1. Servicemen don't generally talk about the more distressing side of their work. Of course it happens but...

2. ...If they do talk about it, they might not be that impressed if their friend said "Hey, do you mind if I get this on tape and forget that confidentiality clause you signed?"

3. The dialogue doesn't seem natural to me.

That's just my opinion.

yeah adimon i agree. it seems like disinfo to me. not that i don't think everything they said really did happen but to someone else..... this is just fishy.

i know my bro is in the army in ireland and he told me things like this happen more than you'd think.
and he's spent two years in the leb and all over...he knows what he's talking about too.

Cool. What regiment is he in?

I wasn't saying abuse doesn't occur - I just think it's a fake video.

I don't like saying it but trust me this is real, I'm an American and the way he's speaking is probably not what alot of you are used to. lol I remember the first few times I got drunk with guys from Ireland and certain parts of the UK in Australia - I couldn't understand a damn word they said! lol I had to have a translator for a guy speaking English!

On a sadder side note, there was a time when even I felt like this punk... :(
