I figured someone in here would find this amusing.

The other day at work, someone asked if anyone else knew how old the state of Israel was(just a bit of trivia), and that got people talking about it. The next question was, what was it before that. At this point I was talking to a Jewish co-worker and told him it was Palestine. He had NO IDEA that Israel only came about in the 50s, nor that it was Palestine. NO IDEA.

Then later on in the day, he started talking about how we should kill every Palestinian man, woman, and child. Keep in mind that earlier he had no clue who they were or even that they had the land first, now suddenly he was pushing for genocide, saying "It's ours." I've always heard Jews tend to be loyal to Israel over whatever country they're in, I guess that much is true for this guy, anyway. A few weeks earlier he was bragging about the power of the Jewish mafia(true) and also about how they're tough because they have to fight to keep what's theirs. Of course, he didn't know who the people were "they" were fighting, but no matter.

Nobody would take up for his argument though, and people did get irritated with him. I'm sure if he'd been a White guy talking about lynching Blacks it wouldn't have been tolerated, but at least everyone saw him for the nutball he is.

Later on, he mentioned to me that it was theirs, the Bible said so, to which another coworker replied "Uh, the Bible is a book." I also reminded him that the promised land wasn't to be theirs until the Messiah returned, and he hasn't yet. "Yeah, you're right" he said, but apparently they should all die anyway.

I've had similar runins with other Jewish coworkers. Another had the same mentality, and was also an ex-con who had raped children. Nice huh?

Fortunately most of the Jews I've worked with weren't nuts like these two.

I think it's definately true that most jews support israel, but fortunately most aren't quite as hard line as this fellow you work with,

More to be pitied IMO he's been propagandised.

i used to work with a sephardic israeli guy, wonderful cook, always had the best weed, we used to talk politics all the time, he used to moan all the time about the treatment of sephardic jews by khazar jews, but when i brought up palestine, he was emphatic, israel is ours, we will fight to the death for it.
nice guy, but i couldn't agree with his politics, so we stopped talking about it.

Amusing? You posted this because some will find it amusing? And in the religion forum? This guy was religious? No offense, but I don't can't see any "good" reason for you posting this other than you were so shocked and surprised at his lack of an education and racism. I've worked with many people that had similar bigoted viewpoints, of at least three different religions. They were black, white (of seemingly every variety), etc. If he was a black Muslim man, or a Chinese Christian lady, that was racist and promoted genocide (in your opinion), would you make a post a thread about him/her?

What country do you live in? Did killings of natives once occur in the land you live and work in? Do you live in a land where the indigenous population is shrinking? Do you support the economy of that nation? You must, you work there...

I have this huge gut feeling your stretching the story. Sorry, just had to say what I feel. He really thinks its a great idea to start killing "every Palestinian man, woman, and child?"

The state of Israel today is a recent political entity, everybody knows this, funny how he, apparently a Jew, doesn't not.

As far as Jews being loyal to the Israeli state, most, are loyal with their mouth and their pride. More than half of world Jewry lives in the Diaspora, mostly in the USA. If they were really loyal, they would close up shop (and hollywood and wall st. while they're at it) and all make aliyah to Israel, support it's economy there, make scientific discoveries there, and defend their country from people who want to push them into the sea and cook them in an oven. I'm Jewish, but see, I associate myself more with "the West" and as an American than anything. Not necessarily because I favor Western culture and ideals over other ones, or the USA over other countries, it's just where I am in the stream of time. And if all of this around me provides for my existence in this incarnation, then I must have some bit of loyalty to it.

Ever read up on the "other side?" Or is it not cool enough, grass roots enough, hippy enough? Not alternative enough? Does "the man" own the other opinion/info? Just like "Israel" is just a name tag of a political state, so was "Palestine." It wasn't ruled by some wonderful and great Palestinian government who was trashed by some Jews who were magically a military power when they just decided to "move back." Jews were ALWAYS living in that land, whatever you want to call it. And yes, so were our cousins, the Arabic speaking peoples. Jews were a minority? Of course they were! They're a minority every place they go! The religious Torah observant are an even smaller minority in the world since their are tons of Jews, probably like the guy you work with, who really don't have a clue what planet they're on, let alone where their copy of the bible is. That land, which keeps changing name tags, was ruled by the British from 1917-1948. Before that the Ottoman Empire ruled it. When the Romans ruled the area they renamed Jerusalem as Aelia Capitolina. Judea was renamed as Palaestina to destroy Jewish identification with it. The word Palestine, and it's Arabic word, come from Latin.

rev9, sorry you have to work with a racist dick. Report him! Or at least tell him that if he loves the Israeli state so much he should move there! Maybe it'll be a Palestinian family who makes him realize hatred, no matter what side you're on, is counterproductive to life itself. Would be ironic but it's happened, to people on both sides of the fence.

Kinda got O/T up there, but just wanted to say, if anyone carries a Palestinian identity, religious or not, and is a strong strong supporter of the PA and a strong strong opposer of Israel, please feel free to keep dialog open. I'm always learning. Any kind of information would be great. I have a Palestinian friend (religious, and Christian) and we have some great dialog. While we both agree that we'd rather live the state of Israel than a Palestinian state, we're also very critical on some of the "missions" solders of the IDF are sent on. While some are noble, and strictly defensive, other so called missions are well... just bs. They can seemingly use an excuse such as "oh the wind blew the wrong way, you may be a terrorist or feeding one, we're gonna have to tear down your house now, sorry." This just screams, UK/USA to me, but others claim it's just the work of dirty Jews who are on a mission to make the lives of Arab villagers hell and "take over the world."

What else... oh ya... I've never heard of such a thing as a Jewish mafia... the rabbis sell blow now? :p

Yeah but saying someone may be amused by it sounds less wimpy than being like

"HORIIBLE STORY FROMWORK :("

and I like to be original.

Uh, yeah, I would. It's called having a conversation.

What country do you live in? Did killings of natives once occur in the land you live and work in?

Yes, and I brought it up. Someone did say he was a racist afterwards, and it's still been a running joke. We were joking about it today. Nobody agrees with him and are all pretty shocked by it, as you say. The manager told him he was going to assume he didn't really mean it.

Do you live in a land where the indigenous population is shrinking?

How indigenous?

Do you support the economy of that nation? You must, you work there...

Yeah, silly question huh?

I have this huge gut feeling your stretching the story.

Yeah, because with all those racists of different varieties you've known, and all the stories you've heard, my story sounds really incredible.

Did I mention the Jew also shapeshifts and drinks blood? Maybe now my story will be taken seriously.

Sorry, just had to say what I feel. He really thinks its a great idea to start killing "every Palestinian man, woman, and child?"

Yes, along with the hated Nordics, after we steal technology from the Greys.

The state of Israel today is a recent political entity, everybody knows this, funny how he, apparently a Jew, doesn't not.

Back to non-mocking you mode, most people know nothing of their histories anyway. They just don't bother to learn it. Or they learn some ridiculous, contrived version that they latch onto because it makes them feel superior and makes them feel like they belong to something.

I pretty much agree with the rest of what you said and have no specific comments, so.

NOW I find this thread amusing... took me a while eh? lol
