I thought I would start this thread because Ive been hearing people talking about free medical alternatives and not only is garlic free or really cheap but its very effective. Garlic can crushed and taken orally as a cleanse for parasites and also to build over all health and clean the arteries. But the most use Ive got from garlic is its antiseptic abilities. Garlic is the most effective antiseptic, antibiotic, anti viral, anti microbe agent Ive ever used. For example, a few years ago I split my knee open pretty bad playing paintball. It was a 3-4 inch gash that went into the fatty lair of tissue and throught that in some spots. Trying to get around the hospital bill I stitched it myself with needle and thread. Not medical thread just plain old thread that I soaked in peroxide and alcohol. For the next two days I cleaned the wound several times a day with peroxide and alcohol but it didnt seem to be getting any better and it seemed red and swollen. I had heard that garlic was used as a cheap alternative to antibiotics during WW2 and in fact it worked so well it was preferred by feild medics. Well I applied some freshly crushed garlic from a garlic press and the fresh squeezed juice to soak into the wound stiches and all. The next morning, the swelling and redness had stopped and it cleared up in a few days. Ive also used garlic on several other cuts on places on my body that are prone to infection like feet and toes. One toe was badly infected for 3-4 days and I began to worry but sure enough, with a little garlic it cleared up, and the infection was so bad the infected dead skin actually peeled off a couple days later and its fine now. Now just to show you, I got another deep gash on my other knee earlier this summer, and I went to the hospital to have it professionally stitched with man made antiseptics and all, and I thought I was ok. Over the next few days the cut became so infected that it began to spread all over my leg and I had to be hospitalized and injected with super powerful antibiotics. So lesson be learned I always put crushed fresh garlic on any potentially bad wound and I never have a problem. Garlic is trully a wonder drug that takes the cake anyday over man made chemicals.

That's very impressive Rasnalgoul!!! and thanks for sharing.

Garlic is a wonder drug as you say, and I guess it is something we could all take to maintain good health.
