I should declare that I am very much a United States of Earth/Earth Union person. Though with each nation and culture maintaining its uniqueness and individuality. To quote the United Nations - One People One Planet.

It is a dream that will never be realised, but I would ban passports and allow free movement of all peoples. Those who wish to, may take advantage of all of the natural resources of this planet, progress by merit, and not held back by accident of birth and geography.

Whether it is the next scientific invention, or Martin Luther King, or the fall of the Berlin wall, or getting married, or being the first person in your family to get to university etc. It all starts with a dream/thought.
The natural flow of humanity on this planet is towards unity. Once we were cavemen bashing each other with clubs, then in time the clans/tribes used to war with those in the neighbouring glens, then nations were formed, then these nations formed into kingdoms and now into union groupings. It is the natural flow. A Earth Union/United States of Earth is inevitable. It is just a matter of time.
