tinmenace,
Yeah tin,......my house! :D :D :D (southern Calif.)
Seriously, it was only a 4.7 but when the epicenter is only about 25 miles away from your livingroom, it sure gets your attention - and the cats! That one was on Sept. 2, 2007. We had a second quake in the same little town yesterday which makes you wonder. Again these were small but it's clear that things are shifting and moving again in big ways.

Indonesia Quakes - 8.4, 6.0, 7.9, 7.1, 6.2, 6.2
PADANG, Indonesia (AP) - Indonesia was shaken Thursday by the third powerful earthquake in less than 24 hours, and survivors described watching in horror as the ocean retreated and raced back to shore as a 10-foot-high tsunami.
Hundreds of houses were destroyed and panicked residents fled to the hills.
At least 10 people were killed in the quakes, which were followed by dozens of aftershocks.
The 8.4-magnitude quake that first shook Southeast Asia on Wednesday was the strongest this year. But the huge mass of water it spawned was pushed to sea rather than land, said Mike Turnbull, a seismologist at Australia's Central Queensland University.
