DEVELOPING: THE hunt for missing British toddler Madeleine McCann has switched to Australia after fresh information on a new suspect.
A witness has given Kate and Gerry McCann's private detectives fresh information about an Australian man they believe could be linked to Madeleine's disappearance, The Daily Mail reports.

But The Sun says an Australian woman is believed to hold vital clues to Madeleine's abduction.

It reports detectives have been told an Australian woman spoke to a Brit outside a bar in Barcelona, Spain, three days after the young girl went missing. The witness only came forward in recent weeks.

A source close to the investigation said: "What this Australian is reported to have said is of enough significant interest to launch a hunt for her."

The investigators believe the person is of 'potential significance' to their hunt and will today make a dramatic public appeal for help to find him.

They are expected to release images of the person and information about his possible link to the two-year search for Madeleine.

A TEENAGE Israeli soldier has been fined $1000 after he "jokingly" carried away a six-year-old boy from a St Kilda East park, telling the child he was a kidnapper.

Ariel Lourie, 19, said to the terrified victim that he was "going to put you into my car boot" before giving him "five seconds to run away".

The Melbourne Magistrates Court heard that the boy ran screaming and crying across a road as his mother confronted Lourie and demanded: "Are you crazy? What are you doing?"

Prosecutor Ted Combes said Lourie replied: "I was just joking", before the woman, who could not ring police because of her religious beliefs, consoled her son.

Lourie, who had a charge of child-stealing struck out, pleaded guilty to unlawful assault.

Magistrate Felicity Broughton yesterday fined Lourie without conviction after calling last week for a psychology report on him. It found he had no mental health issues. Ms Broughton had asked defence lawyer Steve Pica: "What is going on in this young man's head that this could be a joke?"

She reluctantly agreed not to sentence him so as not to "interfere with (his) continued moral, ethical and employment obligations" and rehabilitation.

Mr Combes said Lourie, who had arrived in Australia three days before the incident on September 15, sat with his cousin at 5.10pm as the boy and his younger brother played in Greenmeadows Gardens.

Mr Combes said the boy later revealed he heard someone twice say "don't do it" before Lourie picked him up and cradled him "as you would carry a baby".

As Lourie walked towards a street that bordered the park, the boy initially thought he was a family friend.

In regards to Australia, we did have the 'Stolen Children' generation. White man decided to take aboriginal children from their parents. The reason being, the children will have a better chance at life. That's the thing, though - most parents do actually look for their child if s/he goes missing but not Kate (and I'm guessing Gerry but he just sat in silence and let her deal with the question alone - the man who couldn't talk enough about the sports facilities and suchlike suddenly didn't have quite so much to say).

Queensland Premier Anna Bligh says this is "ancient history," as well as being corrupt in relation to this matter, she is the great champion of child murder abortion.

I think you mean Robert Murat
Robert Murat was the first person to be named as an official suspect in the inquiry into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

More than a year later, the investigation has been shelved, his status has been lifted and he has won a substantial libel payout from several British newspapers.

They can test for sedatives on DNA left behind in Madeleines bed and other personal effects. The cuddle cat toy will have had the smell of Madeleine on it, and no mother would ever want to lose that last bit of connection IF she had lost her child.

Too many high profile individuals were involved in this story far too soon for me to believe it was an unfortunate incident involving a respectful middle class family.

The whole story and its reporting is highly suspicious IMO and it will take more than reports through main stream media of found blood stains to convince me otherwise.

You only need to look at the pathetic attempts to set up that gypsie who just happened to resemble the drawing of a paedophile suspect with boils on his face to know that this story stinks.

The leaflet is a shorter version of the '60 Reasons' booklet distributed by Tony Bennett, the intention of which is to inform the general public of things they might not know because of suppression, etc., in the media. Tony is a member of the above forum, so you can hear it straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak (as, judging by the way The Sun et al have responded to this, it might be the only way to find out what really happened and what's really in the leaflets). The woman interviewed is a fellow member of the Madeleine Foundation and seems quite a gentle soul, but The Sun can probably change that.

It'd be really interesting to know your reaction - the only residents' views broadcast have been negative, but it seems like papers and TV programmes are very selective in what's seen and heard (Carter-Ruck can be a blessing) e.g. pulling the comments sections from online newspaper articles if they question things.

I can't find the interview on central news unfortunately. but hey when it happened I was disgusted ..I wasn't awake at the time though and purchased a couple of wrist bands :rolleyes:. here in Leicester it is a very one sided view thanks to the media. even my mum who is half awake is more on their side to be honest but is trying to keep an open mind, even though she has viewed the Portuguese side of events. what do I think? I think they have blood all over their hands. especially after finding out that Gerry is common purpose. The whole affair stinks to high heaven tbh.

I've just said to my mum actually that she needs to turn the tv off completely ..she has it off a lot more now though. she said she wants to keep an open mind where I said I like to see the face, the reverse and the edge of the coin so I can form an opinion for myself. I have that opinion now. not everyone in Leicester has been blinded by the media that's for sure.

My first thoughts were: tragic accident covered up by the parents BUT IMHO the whole charade by her parents points more to an intentional occult sacrificial ritual thingy whereby the poor wee girl was passed around various politicians, royal family members and other upstanding members of society.
