It has occured to me if there are two thousand cases someone here would Know of one personally, i am not asking for names, but he that cant be named does not exist. The only thing I would stipulate is that the person you know has to have spent more that three days in bed with this near deadly desease otherwise it might only have been a cold.

I know lots of people who knew the woman who died in Glasgow from swine flu.

Don't know of anyone, were very close to barnett middx, there are supposedly many cases of the flu there.
The deaths being reported are very sad.:(
One of my hubby's work colleague's has a son in a london school where there has been reports of children suffering the symptoms, but his son remains uneffected.
Media hyping i suspect so we all take the vaccine. Rumsfield must be in his

How do we even know who really has it? Someone said something about the symptoms? Well, the symptoms for all flu strains is pretty close to the same - fever, sore throat, headache, dizzy, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, feel like you're going to die. I doubt very much that all of these people who have these symptoms have the real swine flu if it even exists. That would mean everyone of those cases would have to be tested and compared against a live sample of the flu. i doubt that is happening.
And just because someone dies it does not mean they had the dreaded Swine Flu. There are literally dozens of flu strains out there, and they all kill people every day.
.
Two people have now died in Australia BUT both of these people had pre existing serious medical conditions and therefore had little immunity to even a common cold.

I met a woman a couple of days ago whose grand daughter alledgedly has it and has been given Tamiflu
also there's a local hospital with 2 or 3 people (from the same family) quarantined in it. I met family members just after they'd been to see them and they were behind clear perspex and they weren't allowed to be in the same room. Its a dodgy hospital. its common knowledge in the area that if you are ill you do not go there, you go to one of the others.
and a story, my mate was on the metro train a few weeks ago, and it was pretty full with most seats taken. someone sneezed and someone shouted 'Swine Flu!'. most people laughed, but the woman sat next to the person who sneezed went white and had a look of pure terror on her face. such is the mass media hypnosis over some people. :)

My 3 children have been diagnosed, shall we say, with 'swine-flu'!!! Each were prescribed tamiflu, though only had 1 days dose (2 spoonfuls) because the symptoms eased off over night.
A doctor had to come to the house, fully wrapped in an apron, face mask and goggles....lol!!
They have said that because of the spread, they are (Devon Dr's) diagnosing it, without the need to see the patient. It is no more than seasonal flu, for this season, the fear of contracting/having it is more deadly to us than anything else.
Besides, those who have died from it have all had underlying health issues.

Like all medical scares, its usually the treatment that feckin kills you, if you have it keep hydrated lots of vitamin C and keep it to yourself, its the flu FFS, you feel like shit then you get the shits then you recover.
I got the bird flu, 1 week felt like crap the next the toilet felt like crap and then I slowly got better, didn't visit the doc once, all he would tell me its to keep hydrated and lots of vitamin C and stay in bed...well Duh!
You know we should start a counter rumor, like Tamiflu makes you sterile

My daughter,s mother in law has flu symptoms and described them over the phone to her GP. The GP has concluded that she has contracted swine flu even though no examination has taken place and no blood or swab samples have been tested. She has been told to remain in quarantine away from others in her home and the doctor has refused to call.
How can they possibly declare conclusive results with a diagnosis over the phone and no direct tests to establish its presence? Further proof that they are making this up as they go along.

2 teachers at my daughters school have swin flu so they say. My daughters, both of them last week had a bad flu, but i never put it down to swine flu, nor did they go to the docs. these days people go to their doctors for nothing, who knows!
In the last few yrs i have treated symptoms of flu, minor injurys, etc myself now i know docs are useless and cause harm.

Several of my contacts on facebook have been given Tamiflu because they have had contact with an alleged 'swine flu' case.
Since they have moved into the treatment phase people have been told to just call their GP if they have symptoms. For all intents and purposes tracking and formal identification of the 'novel' virus are no longer necessary. All contacts, of the alleged case, which are considered at risk i.e. with underlying health problems are issued Tamiflu.
Great opportunity for pulling a 'sicky' if one were that way inclined. :)

I said in my last post (page 1) that all my 3 kids were diagnosed with this phony swine flu......it turns out my eldest, who the dr came and visited actually has tonsilitis....so no matter what illness you actually have, swine flu will be diagnosed.

A few of my close friends are currently on Tamiflu, I'm personally going to avoid it like the plague (no pun intended).. I'm worried if I do get flu like symptoms, not swine flu.. how I could avoid people thinking I have swine flu! lol
It seems anyone who comes down with any cold atm is automatically labeled as suffering from swine flu!

Something tugs at my intuition on this one. Too many recent "clues" in the media indicating a theatre of stage managed crises!
I also will be avoiding Tamiflu and let the cards fall where they may.

When i was 17, i worked in a hotel, it was April 1981. I had the job of looking after a load of baby hens, (chicks) for 3 weeks, they were held in a large egg in the middle of the hotel floor. I cleaned them out daily, and fed them and one day i got the flu out of nowhere it was bad flu, my mum looked after me but it lasted only 2 days, i wonder if it was bird flu, no-one caught it from me by the way.

It makes me wonder what hidden agenda there is behind so call "vaccinations"
I know from my own experience that when a person's immune system is weakened it causes havoc within the body. It can lead to a state in which the immune system itself attacks the body’s tissues.
This causes stress related illness to trigger a cascade of Psychological and Physiological problems.

Stress is the precursor to any illness these days, a stressed population gets all manner of things they wouldn't normally get. We know this of course, that's why its so important when people who are talking about the swine flu and looking all freaked out, you have to "vaccinate" it with "Don't worry its just a load of bollocks, they put millions into Tamiflu and now they don't want to loose all their money when it goes out of date".
The immune system is directly linked to the emotional state of the person, under stress even your DNA coils a little tighter. Positivity and emotional strength is key to anything related to health. When fear sets in if the rational mind doesn't counter balance it quickly then every thing is magnified, the symptoms and the pain.
The bodies defenses also get confused by the emotional signals, after all you are made up of trillions of cells all part of a collective that is "you". You are basically "god" in the combined physical form of all those little conscious cells, you have to send them the right kind of energy for them to do their job. We cannot keep sending them foreign help in the form of vaccinations because then they will get lazy, and spend all day long in bed, in front of their playstations, living off of egg and cheese toasties ...lol.

Hi branjo, what a great post :)
The body has an amazing defence system if we let it work. IMHO, the invasion of 'anti-bacterial' products into homes has done so much damage to developing immune systems. Pasteurisation has also prevented immunity to certain bacteria present in many dairy products.
Much of the legislation introduced in the UK, regarding food, has done more harm than good IMHO. There will always be a percentage of a population susceptible to certain bacteria. Legislating to protect a minority from something, which brings detriment of the majority is madness.

The hype is laughable.
I remember growing up, in days gone by LOL (i'm going on 40) ,
we'd play in puddles all day, eat dirt, get absolutely drenched to
the bone.. come in and grab a sandwhich, change clothes and head back out.
If we were ever ill, then it was weak tea and buttered toast-soldiers dipped in a soft-boiled egg.
The only time i ever saw a thermometer was at school in chemistry lessons.
Nowadays it's off to the doctors for a runny nose.. pharmacies on every street corner.. fucking sad.
Ok, granted.. there was fuck all spraying back then, no nasty food additives and dodgy water.. but still.
Folks will actually really be queueing up for that shite.

I am older than you and remember when....a day out was at the first green patch we came across with an ice cream van and a bottle of lemonade, We then sold the empty bottles back to the shops for refilling (not recycling). I never went to the doctors with a cold and really looked up to them then. I don't do that now. People really do put their dependence in others too readilly these days.

Those were the days eh:)
If anyone caught a 'childhood disease' mothers would send all their kids to play with them. I once ended up with chicken pox and whooping cough at the same time. :( The only exception to this rule was my mate Kirk who had Leukaemia, we had to be full of health to visit Kirk.
My Nana always said everyone would eat a peck of dirt before they died. Don't recall how much a peck is but I bet it's a lot! :)

I know someone who's had it. The diagnosis for him was probably more reliable than one from a call centre, he worked in a hospital, and they recognised the onset from the very dry cough. Generally feeling lousy, fuzzy-headed, spasms in legs & arms, a sensitive tingling feeling on the skin, certainly NOT deadly, felt a bit worse than normal flu. He was better and on his feet within 10 days.

..So except for a very few exceptions, no one has posted that someone they know intimately has had it. One poster did say her children had it but that it turned out to be tonsils?
I'm like alot of you on here...something feels really WRONG about this whole scenario...It almost feels like "ONLY____SHOPPING DAYS UNTIL THE PANDEMIC!!!" They are just soooo damn sure it's coming, even though it has barely made a blip on the population.

Society has been flooded with a bombardments of all sorts of chemicals, painkillers and anti-biotics. Its not good. I grew up the same (Im only 28, so abit behind!). We had pets, the carpet was often hairy, the kitchen tops often weren't wiped down. All my family are still here.
These days people are so scared of 'germs'. Fuck the germs, if your eating right, getting exercise, have good hygine and have a good stock of herbs for back up, your'll be fine IMO. All these adverts with the kitchen top cleaners ''Kills 99.9% of all germs...''. What?!! Why do we need to kill 99.9% of germs? Come on what have people done in the past? They use the whole think of the child card in the advert too. A house mate used to use that stuff. Lagged the shit all over the work tops. Even after he agreed with me abit of dirt wont hurt ya! Gets on my goat
Rant over......until next time :D
