An outbreak of the influenza A H1N1 virus is unavoidable, according to a leading scientist

Upwards of 1.5 million Danes are at risk of contracting the influenza A virus starting in August, a top viral expert at the University of Copenhagen’s Faculty of Health Sciences predicts.

Influenza A (H1N1) has already struck around 51,000 people worldwide so far. In Denmark, 38 cases have been reported in Denmark, and according to national disease control centre Statens Serum Institut 23 of those cases were contracted abroad.
Dr Jens Lundgren, an expert in viral diseases with the University of Copenhagen, explained that the reason the virus has spread so slowly until now is because the warm summer weather in the northern hemisphere has hampered its contagious properties.

‘But my guess is that we’ll be hit by a first wave of the virus in August and September, when people have come home from their summer holidays,’ Lundgren told science news website Videnskab.dk. ‘This virus is extremely contagious so as soon as the weather cools down and children start back at daycare and nursery school, the virus will really kick in.’

Influenza A has been classified by the World Health Organisation as a pandemic in the southern hemisphere. In Australia and Chile alone over 8,000 people have been infected, resulting in 10 deaths.

And from its origins in Mexico this past spring, the virus quickly spread to the US, where it infected more than 24,000. In Europe, the UK has been the worst hit, reporting over 3,000 confirmed cases.

Lundgren said that around 35 percent of those who come in contact with the virus become infected.

Statistically, most of those who get sick are young people, but because the symptoms tend to be mild, those already suffering from another illness or whose immune systems are weakened are most at risk of being seriously affected.

Indeed, it is deliberately being kept away from as many people as possible in order that the majority of the population is not exposed to the mild version. The pharmaceutical companies and governments are working in alliance in order to enact this. There will then be billions spent on treatment, medications, vaccines (with hidden ingredients no doubt and toxic elements to thin out the population), there will be many ministers and officials who will be rewarded handsomely for their loyalty.

These guy in the Swine flu prevention leaflets that have been distributed all across the UK already states that there is no vaccine as such that will cure the flu. so what for the vaccine? don't people think by themselves? of course they are not, they are watching BIG Brother which is f*ckin their empty minds!

The number of swine flu deaths in the city climbed to 32, it was reported yesterday, as German scientists warned that the virus may be mutating into a more aggressive form.

The city's Health Department announced two more fatalities from the H1N1 virus, identifying the latest victims only as persons between the ages 25 and 65.

Germany's federal agency for infectious diseases yesterday expressed concern about how the H1N1 virus was developing in Australia and South Africa.

"It's possible the virus has mutated," Joerg Hacker, head of the Robert Koch Institute for infectious diseases, said in Berlin. "In autumn, the mutated form could spread to the northern hemisphere."

I can gaurantee that the official cases will be significantly higher than 8000 (for those 2 countries) in tomorrows weekly WHO update. Global deaths is likely to be in excess of 300. Of course, some will say, some don't count because they have other health issues but they are still numbers of people of who have it or have died and had it.

Had 2 weeks in hospital and 6 weeks off work due to testing positive for Influenza A in early Jan. Didn't really feel worse than a 'Normal' heavy cold. But my left lung collapsed through the heavy COUGHING! Although I must say that after 4 weeks everything was "OK". But still put another 2 weeks sickie in, just to be on the safe side :-)

Which parts in particularly do you need links to. The information available to myself is 3 deaths in Australia and 7 in Chile. I am sure this is in the public domain. I can gaurantee that the official cases will be significantly higher than 8000 (for those 2 countries) in tomorrows weekly WHO update. Global deaths is likely to be in excess of 300. Of course, some will say, some don't count because they have other health issues but they are still numbers of people of who have it or have died and had it.
