Not much to say except hello fellow Anglicans and how do you handle all the anti-christian stuff on here?

I don't have a problem, love some of the stuff in David's books but find it hard to relate what David says Christianity is about and what is being taught in my local church. He has some really great points which seem to resonate very much with the Christian message like the real presence of evil in the world, an infinite intelligence, an eternal reality which can be accessed on a personal level. Our church places a great emphasis on developing this personal relationship and the connectedness of creation.....I don't see any evil there sorry.

You would agree that religion has done much harm and you agree that the bible says, "you shall know them by their fruits" - and lets be real about this, most church goers do little to expose and speak out against terrible wars and other injustices in the world. Why?

"Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fall into a pit and will not pull him out on the sabbath day?" - is there a message here? Save an ox in trouble but not humans?

While people are singing and sweetly praising God in church, people are being tortured, murdered and burnt alive (including children) by the lies and policies of our corrupt governments. It makes me feel sick.

Yes there are some church going people who get involved but at the anti-war demos for instance, very few show up when compared to Atheists, Socialists and (naturally) Muslim people. Why is that?

"The kingdom will be taken from you and given to a nation producing it's fruits" comes to mind.

Apparently, most church goers think it's God's will to drop bombs on cities, murdering millions of civilians and children. So with Christian churches who supposedly practice love, then it becomes "you shall know them by their lack of fruit".

Then could that have something to do with church leadership (or lack thereof) and doctrine?

Then you would also agree, that protestant churches came out of the Roman church but still carry with them some RC concepts. Then the bible says "we cannot put new wine into old wineskins."

It also says:

"The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field.... it becomes a tree and the birds of the air nest in it's branches "

"The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened"

All bible verses paraphrased.

Well if you are an Anglican, Jesus representative on earth is Elizabeth Windsor, the head of your church, head of state and head of the British army. When you say I don't see any evil there sorry, then perhaps this is because she is your defintion of all that is 'good.'

Perhaps you could write a short essay explaining the similarities between Jesus and Elizabeth Windsor.

Thank you both for your replies. I understand that many people feel like this in the world and feel religion is evil.

Personally I have never been on a anti war demo but where I have seen injustice in my own family and community I have acted to the best of my ability, time and resources. For you protesting against war is important and who is to say that I would not join in the future but I also notice that many of my "anglican" friends visit sick people in hospital, help in hospices, raise money for numerous good causes, invest ethically, try not to pollute, etc. I do not know whether these are as worthwhile but I do not judge where you feel it is more appropriate to spend your time and your money - anti war demo's or other ways of support.

On the question of the queen as the head of the church - I do not know the woman so have nothing to add.To be honest it doesn't mean that much to me - sorry if that makes me irresponsible in your eyes. As a figure head we pray for her and her government to make good decisions in the best interests of the country and the world.

Thank you for commenting....I'm presuming neither of you are Anglicans...

Seriously though those photos are horrific - all war belongs on paper.......

I should also point out that Elizabeth Windsor is not only the head of your church but also head of state and also head of the army.

Since this is the David Icke forum, I should point out that the current Masonic Grand Master, the Queen's cousin also holds the highest rank in the British army of Field Marshal.

It is only fair to judge a member of a religious cult by their cult leader.

Since the cult leader of global Anglicanism is the head of the British Army, it is only fair that you be judged in accordance with her deeds; similarly with the Masons.

If you considered Elizabeth Windsor to be a genocidal Capitalist Imperialist, I doubt that you would be part of her cult. Clearly a member of a an evil cult usually considers their cult leader to be 'good' and redefines 'evil' as good.

Evil is commonly redefined as 'good' in the private language of a cultist; thus when we say that Elizabeth Windsor and her cultists are 'good' Christians, this has to be understood as Newspeak and 'doublespeak' by non-cultists and linguists

"Specific Attributes of Doublespeak

misleads
distorts reality
pretends to communicate
makes the bad seem good
avoids or shifts responsibility
makes the negative appear positive
creates a false verbal map of the world
limits, conceals, corrupts, and prevents thought
makes the unpleasant appear attractive or tolerable
creates incongruity between reality and what is said or not said "

http://www.damronplanet.com/doublespeak/whatisdoublespeak.htm

Thus the term 'A Good Anglican' in Newspeak can be reinterpreted as 'an effective state-terrorist / narco-terrorist / Capitalist Imperialist collaborator,' just like the term "A Good Nazi.'
