Hi Last night I was kept awake by someone or something blowing in my face, everytime I managed to drop off it happened again. It has happened before a few times but I thought I had imagined it.
I was awake and not dreaming as I lay watching the clock. I told it to go away and leave me alone but it carried on. Eventually I got some sleep. It started happening at 2.22 in the morning,
Also I felt something small on the bottom of the bed I felt it was a cat, it did a couple of steps but that is all.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this before or got any ideas to help?

Hi that is really odd I am glad that hasn't happened to me, but it feels if something is blowing in my face, I hope it doesnt happen again tonight.
I told it to go away and I am going nowhere, so it had better listen. It doesn't frighten me....yet! It is annoying being woken up.
Thank you for telling me your experiences. If it happens again let me know.

Ghost. Probably ancestor spirit or familiar. They like up-close-and-personal approaches.

Happened to me too but not so recently.... next stage maybe the sliding bed covers.

I was woken up one night by what felt like my cat jumping on the bed (but he'd died months ago) could have sworn my cat's tail brushed across my face and could also feel him leaping off the bed! I couldn't see anything it was so dark.

Have you tried farting and keep the smell trapped under the bed clothes, then next time you feel icey breath, release the smell :p if it has a mouth then it has a nose, eat plenty of garlic then you can give it double blow back.

If you think it is a ghost or something alike, ask it to go away in your mind or even out loud, or to appear (although you might not like what you see) and even then it could be your imagination conjuring up a vision. Might be nothing of the sort (could even be friendly) or not even a ghost etc.

Maybe just some weird metal functions to do with sleep.

Why visit when people are sleeping? and not when they are just sitting, eating their dinner, or somthing?

Hi athenagoddess - I get this all the time. Its been happening for around twenty years now - wherever I go, it doesnt matter if I am in my own bed or somewhere else although its less prevalent in other places.

For me its exactly like someone is sleeping in the bed beside you but of course there is no one there! I get it esp around my feet and wierdly enough I tend to wake up at 3.33 or 4.44 or sometimes reversed times ie 04.40 05.50 etc ...I think we are just more open to the different dimensions in our sleep state. I simply envision a purple/white light all around my bed keeping out all negative vibes/energies and hope for the best. Like attracts like and all.

In the past few years I have been suffering from sleep paralysis - I would rather a ghost anyday!

Yep. I posted on another thread a couple of weeks ago about someone walking on the bed and the blankets being pulled off. And this while I'm awake. Also, something picks my pillow up, like something crawling underneath it. And last night while watching tv something kept pushing on my thigh. I just brush it off because it's happened all my life, no matter where I have lived. That is nothing compared to some of the scarey things I SEE. And the nightmares. I don't think I'll ever find an explanation. Nobody else has so far.

If you practiced something like tai chi or chi kung you`d frequently get this. Sounds like you`ve increased activity around your third eye chakra, esp as you said it began around 2.22 in the morning.
Sometimes if I have a question I want answered I`ll wake up at 3.33 or 4.44 - 3.33 is like a big cosmic "yes" / 4.44 a big "no."

I remember reading a story about a fatality in Cork last year. A volunteer fireman was called to the scene of a serious road accident early one morning, and was himself knocked down and killed by a passing vehicle. According to the newspaper the firemans bleeper went off at 4.44 am. Higher intelligence is always giving us information, up to us to interpret it.

Hi I believe my third eye is open, never heard about the time thing before, why is 4.44 negative?? Please tell me more

I feel breathing on my face too. Always when I'm in bed and nodding off to sleep. I've always wondered why I don't have any experiences when I'm wide awake and watching tv or something. Although I do see things sometimes.

Another thing I've been experiencing quite a lot lately is my mattress shaking like somebody has grabbed the end and decided to shake it with me on it. It used to freak me out but now I'm used to it. Wierd thing is I thought it only happened to me so never told anybody that I know. One day one of my work mates asked me if I ever feel my mattress shaking when I'm laid in bed. I was like "oh my god, YEAH!"

What could it be? I know it's not a mini earthquake because nothing else in the room moves and I have experienced a tremor whilst I've been in bed and it's not the same lol

Next time I get sleep paralysis/old hag (I'm probably due an episode, been sleeping like crap all week) I shall try and summon the power of the fart to release me. :D Brilliant laugh, just what I need to shake the fear off, thankyou.

I've felt a blowing in my ear before, is this a similar thing? As anyone else felt that? I've also felt one night while i was half asleep/awake thats someone was underneath me, hugging me while i was laying on my back and then my side, anyone else felt that? (No-one was with me when that happened, just to clarify :D)

While I got changed in the dark while sitting on the edge of my bed, I heard someone whisper the word bubba in my ear. It was just like someone actually whispering in my ear very quickly, I could feel their/its breath against my ear....quite scary at the time.

Bubba is not a name I`m familiar with, or a word that I can recall that means anything, so who knows why they/it would do it.

when I sit on the couch and put my feet up and start listening to a reiki cd it feels like the back of the couch and footrest start vibrating (no I dont have a vibrating couch) and it feels like something is pressing down on my head and a pulling sensation on my face and when I get into a very relaxing state I get poked in the side and something bumps my shoulder...at first it kinda freaked me out now it has become rather humorous:)

Well sometime in November I think it was something similar happend to me. While laying in bed I was woken by what seemed a brush of the lips on mine and a little puff of air in the face !! Id probably become aware of a presence just a second or 2 before that as I thought my youngest had come down and was wanting to get into bed with us. Also Im a lite sleeper anyway but that depends on the beer :D

Well I was quite surprised no one was there and actually sat up in bed and had a quick scan around. To say I was feeling elated was an understatement. I felt really content and super happy. For the next 3 days or so I was like a dog with 2 dicks ;) Just really exhilarated and on cloud 9. It was like a message had been passed . I know what it was and am grateful for that :)

What do you think it was? Like a message from somebody who had passed?
I've been feeling somebody touching me but when it happens I feel calm and relaxed when normally I would be scared. But I believe that it is my grandmother who passed away 2 years ago. Now and again I get a little sign that she is still around. I felt her touch me on the back last week and a mark was left behind that looked like a burn to the skin. It didn't hurt it was like a feather had touched me it was that gentle. I felt so happy to know that she was still around.

About a year ago both my wife and I were woken in the morning by an adult female voice loudly saying my name; my wife doesn't like to talk about it, because it completely freaked her out.

We've also heard a baby crying in our living room in broad daylight. We do have a daughter, but she's 6, and in the case of the latter, was in the room with us playing at the time.

No I don't think it was message from somebody who passed. I thought it was an angel :o :o :o and I still do :D Like I said I was on cloud 9 for several days after and I'm not normally a miserable bastard either, this was a different level. 1ST and only time so far that has happened. No bed shaking at all, even when the wife is in it with me ;) or any other strange events, just the 1 incident which I'm grateful for :)

That's an interesting point, i didn't feel afraid at all when i had my experience, it felt quite peaceful.
